yeah
we overachieved last year
an 80 points season would not shock me this year
guys were blaming 6k for the sabres missing the playoffs
it was just as much if not more
the pk
the 14 games we scored 0 or 1 goal
the lack of replacements when samuelsson
team needs to still learn how to win and not getting a decent body to replace quinn is also going to hurt this team out the gate - homiedclown
I think we'd all agree an .892 isn't going to get it done this year. If the d improvements help, then that's a win |

17-11
played the tougher schedule
had the better win record vs anderson and comrie who played easier teams
people act like 6k was 7-22 in games started
he was at adams house watching playoff hockey the past few months so people need to accept he is probably in the mix this fall and not on the trade block |

So like was said not much, there's ways to find Cap room, just a lot harder this year than it ever really has been. Escrow finally caught up, and it's affecting a lot of teams. - Buff36
I was reading an article on The Athletic about what each team still needs in FA...several teams (5-ish) with gobs and gobs of Cap Space, and others with space who need either a) a scoring forward (Olo), or b) defensive depth player (Bryson, Joker, Stillman/Lyubushkin).
Yes, the low grow in Cap Ceiling has caused many teams to have little to no Cap space, yet 16 have greater than $5m available. Their are opportunities, up to Kevy to make it happen, get creative.
Earlier today I was going to make a list of teams with space and their respective needs, but F it, people have access to the same info...they can do the work, lol. |

I feel like it’s probably Levi and UPL. I just wish they would do better. Improving the D will help. |

why settle for a team that may or may not make the playoffs in year 4 of your gm tenure with dahlin, power, tage, cozens, tuch, and skinner
the settling for this is what pisses off half the sabre fans on here and assuming everything will fall into place
we are a levi groin injury, or a dahlin acl or a tage bum shoulder away from a top 10 pick in 11 months, and you can't say that about the good teams
what's wrong with wanting to be one of those good teams - homiedclown
Could they move to 1-OA if they all happened? |

And if your numbers above are correct, that’s 15 million for 7 players, or 2.14m per player. Looking at it another way, $15m is 18% of the cap. 7 players represent 30.4% of cap contracts. Seems like good spending to me. What’s the issue, please explain - turbo044
Should be closer to $11 or$12m? |

He has wins on his side but the other number including the .892 ain't gonna get it done this year. He has to be better. Hopefully the d helps him |

Sure there are Teams that can do it, but know are you having to use assets to move those contracts. Always ways to get Cap space, but if Adams has to use Assets to do it other than said player then that's a huge fail, especially coming into the offseason with what he had and who he signed. |

Maybe move back from leading the pack in HDCA's to say league average by tightening the D play by Dmen and F's by way of good execution of a defensively aware System. |

We're going to hear a ton of this narrative this season if it doesn't go well for Luukkonen. UPL is going to get Don Granato fired if he continues to be bad.

a 24 year old ryan miller had a 5.08 gaa and a .795 save percentage in limited action and was crying to post game reporters

what is 6k plays decent and levi puts up the .892 save percentage and the 3.58 gaa
pretty sure the narrative will be much different

That's what I am hoping for, and it won't only help UPL out. And might save a injury or 2 at goaltending with them not flopping around trying to make 35 high danger saves a game. |

Still think UPL could be a good 1B goalie, he has spurts last year, believe he won rookie goalie of the month last year. Sabres left there goalie's out to dry to much last year. It you have a supposed weak spot you try and make things around that stronger. Better D system would help. |

Are you comparing 3 games for Miller against 33 for Luukkonen? |
