Friedman on NHL Network says Sens & Wings are still actively working on a DeBrincat trade, he wants to play for Detroit. Zadina being placed on waivers gives DET more room to work on a DeBrincat deal. Friedman doesn’t think the trade is that far away, last hurdle is the toughest
Which sounds like some nonsense a Rangers fanatic blogger/podcaster would speculate.
If Tarasenko wanted to be here, he knows what he has to do. Theres an 800k contract for him in Drury's office. - aecliptic
I can't tell if that last sentence is serious or not
In all seriousness, that does sound like some nonsense a hopeful fan would say. I'd love Tarasenko back if we could offload Goodrow and have Bonino step into that role. However, it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. NYR brass seem keen to keep Goodrow, whether people like it or not
They need 2 identity lines for maximum identity - picklerick
Jokes aside, Isles have something else going on for sure. They still need to re-sign (or trade) Wahlstrom and they only have <$400k in cap space. It sounds like, unsurprisingly, DeBrincat will end up in DET...but if they were to land him they'd have to clear something else other than Pageau/whatever else to fit a contract for him. If not, they'll still need to get something done to make the cap work. Johnston can be buried in the minors for full relief of his cap hit, which would cover it, but they've seemed reluctant to do that.

Would you do Dobson, Pageau and a first for debrincat? I think that would get it done
