He will be after his contract gets terminated. Just saw it on twitter.

I've heard that Barenaked Ladies are fantastic live. Not my thing but people have said they're just really, really fun.
- jmatchett383

hahaha they actually were the one time I saw them when I was gifted tickets.

Can't stress how important this is for a show. One of the best shows I have ever seen was Streetlight Manifesto and I didn't know a single song of theirs prior to seeing them.

I would definitely give Zadina a shot on a 1 year deal. His ask can't be high.
- burgh4life87

I would think he goes to a poop team that can give him an opportunity at good minutes.

The 80s and the 90s are polar opposites in the sense that all the popular music in the 80s was absolute trash but hipstery stuff was elite where as all the popular music in the 90s was awesome but all the hipstery stuff just isn’t very good.

In the 80s you have The Pixies, Joy Devision, New Order, Blondie, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, Kate Bush. All (frank)ing excellent. New wave is one of the best genres of modern music.

I've been listening a lot this year. Just fun man. Some songs sound timeless.

Echo & The bunnymen have good songs! Bring on the dancing horses is awesome.

Wasn't Zadina supposed to be a sure thing on the 2nd line at least? What's the knock on his game? Can he be responsible on the defensive end?

1. There’s almost no sure thing when it comes to prospects.

2. He is a victim of being drafted as a goal scorer that hasn’t had that skill translate to the NHL. So though he appears to be a hard worker that has speed, is good on the forecheck, and plays with some tenacity he will always be a “bust” to a lot of people.

3. It appears Yzerman decides he just doesn’t like certain people/players and treats them like poop. Apparently this is what happened with Bertuzzi negotiations.

Between Vrana, Bertuzzi, and now Zadina I am starting to question more than just Yzerman’s personnel decisions.

He's a 4'ish mill'er not a 6.25 mill'er.

I think, if he did stick around, its entirely possible he has an even better season with the Pens this coming season, though. If he stayed healthy, that is.

I'd rather EK.

I think doobs plan was to make the bottom 6 much more defensively responsible, which I think he accomplished. That in turn could make the defenceman and goalies look statistically better.

I’d of personally preferred that feat be done with players like ror or Corey perry types that just make life miserable, and are capable of finishing when they get a chance, other than just being responsible. Will be interesting to see if they can gel and be better than last year although that’s a pretty low bar.

Is Vrana in the AHL now? I think he's a good player to take a fly on.

He's with the Blues...was traded there late last season for a bag of pucks...and excelled upon his arrival with 14 points (10 goals) in 20 games for them

If that is his plan, and I think you're probably right, then it only works if he gets EK to make up for the lack of scoring the bottom 6 will once again provide hahah

From what I saw on the twitter peeps, the guys Doobie signed won't be buried in their own zone. They will generate some chances and o-zone time, but they lack finishing... but they won't be buried like last year. Like you, I wish he would have gotten some guys with better finishing.

Shrug.

Yeah the info I’m getting about Yzerman isn’t too great. Always knew he had a big ego but seems it might be worse than I thought.

When I mentioned Foo Fighters I was mostly talking about their early songs. I haven't followed them since forever. Everlong is a great song. There are a few good songs like Monkey Wrench, My Hero, Times like these and Learn to Fly. Let's be fair with Mr.Grohl lol

Our fourth like is going to be good relative to other fourth lines. We just have no third line. Again.

I figured Carolina. He fits their system perfectly. 200ft player, hard forecheck, can't score to save his life.

And that’s exactly what he said he was looking for. Acciari brings a bit of grit and will make defenders work for the puck in the corners. Maybe next year we get some people in their 20’s though

It's crazy. I can remember thinking when he was in Tampa, and the first season or two with Detroit, he could do no wrong. All his moves and signings were fn awesome.... But the last two years Ive been scratching my head over some of his decisions. I am in no way, shape or form following it all like you though, obviously.

The more info I get from my peeps the more and more I question Yzerman. Starting to look a lot like Holland 2.0

He seems to be falling into the trap of always trying to prove how much smarter he is than everyone.
