The more info I get from my peeps the more and more I question Yzerman. Starting to look a lot like Holland 2.0
- Feds91Stammer

He might have got amazingly lucky with a few draft picks and was able to leverage the winning, the weather and zero state taxes on guys to take below market deals

And a legend was born. Maybe this is more the actual reality

He seems to be falling into the trap of always trying to prove how much smarter he is than everyone.
- SuperHenderson13

Yep. But trust the Yzerplan or whatever. I’m pretty over it at this point.

Inherited Hedman and Stamkos. Got lucky with Kuch and Point. Look at all of his 1st round misses in Tampa. All that and still never won a cup as GM.

I think I would. Maybe remove POJ or Pickering. I said here the other day I think he's the most underrated forward in the league.

Why are the Flyers moving him though?

I wanted them both if we're helping you dump Carter. And if things to the way you'd hope, that will be a late 2025 first.

Oof. That’s our whole tomorrow minus yager lol.

I’d say yes. Pushes rust to the 3rd line which gives them 1 competent 3rd liner. Removes carter. Good contract for this year and next. Ty smith can move into poj’s spot.

I would think he goes to a poop team that can give him an opportunity at good minutes.

1. There’s almost no sure thing when it comes to prospects.

2. He is a victim of being drafted as a goal scorer that hasn’t had that skill translate to the NHL. So though he appears to be a hard worker that has speed, is good on the forecheck, and plays with some tenacity he will always be a “bust” to a lot of people.

3. It appears Yzerman decides he just doesn’t like certain people/players and treats them like poop. Apparently this is what happened with Bertuzzi negotiations.

Between Vrana, Bertuzzi, and now Zadina I am starting to question more than just Yzerman’s personnel decisions.

- Feds91Stammer

I REALLY want to get Zadina. That dude is going to be hungry. Honestly, watching him play, he reminds me a bit of Guentzel. Doesn't look overly dynamic but can pick up pucks and can be a really good passer at times. He is only 23 and that is when Jake really took it to the next level. Not at all saying he will be as good as him but I could really see him meshing well with the team. Exactly the type of player Dubas should have been targeting (not over 30 and with some upside).

I'd have taken him at his salary with Detroit and not batted an eye.

That's tough. It's fair, but I can't shake the feeling we shouldn't be making a deal like that for 3 young assets because it still doesn't make us contenders. Team probably can't keep him and Guentzel and that pick probably is pretty high then.

I feel like we're going to add a guy or two like him on Heinen type contracts with the idea that there is opportunity here for someone to make the third line and even get top 6 time when injuries hit. This is honestly a nice spot for someone wanting a prove it deal.

We’re 1.5m over the cap with 11 f, 7 d, and 3,g. Something has to be in the works, but yes I would give him a shot. Doc will eventually be the 12th F but it should only be 2 or 3 games before there’s an injury.

Should probably schedule an appointment with an optometrist if Zadina reminds you of Guentzel.

I’d say no for right now because some of those assets might be used in a EK trade. I’d have to assume at least one of Pickering and POJ would be headed to SJ in a trade (possibly both).

You sign guys on near min salaries that doesn't really effect that problem and that's what I mean. Obviously something is going to happen with a salary eventually.

I said he reminds me a bit of him, I didnt say he was a replica of him. Wasn't a super strong statement, should you perhaps re-read after your appointment?

You said a 4th liner absent of goal scoring reminded you of one of the best snipers in the league. That's some dumb poop.
