Koivu
Subban

(honourable mention, Kovalev)

While I’ve certainly seen some better players than some on my list (I have vague memories of the 1971 Cup and clear memories of 1973-today), these are players who either made me pay extra attention when they were on the ice or, in the case of Koivu, inspired me by his tenacity. Also, I wanted to pick from multiple eras, otherwise the 70s powerhouse teams would clearly dominate a ten player long list.

Top of the list for the Jack Joke of "wow, we thought you would suck but your goalie was amazing this one year" Award. Hmmm, maybe Paul MacLean.

Koivu was pretty much almost on my list, Gallagher is not that far either

not so much as a player but his story, him wearing the C for bad teams (not his fault). I am smaller guy so he would make sense for me to pick I guess, but I dont have that much memories about him and about the way he used to play on the ice.

If I ever saw Naslund play, I dont remember. But my memories of the habs dont go back farther than 1993 when I was 10. Even those are not as clear as I would like them to be with passing time...
