Koivu was pretty much almost on my list, Gallagher is not that far either
not so much as a player but his story, him wearing the C for bad teams (not his fault). I am smaller guy so he would make sense for me to pick I guess, but I dont have that much memories about him and about the way he used to play on the ice.
If I ever saw Naslund play, I dont remember. But my memories of the habs dont go back farther than 1993 when I was 10. Even those are not as clear as I would like them to be with passing time... - deadpoulet

Naslund was our last 130pt player. Unreal how productive and successful he was despite his size in a VERY aggressive era!
Love him to death. Just wish he wore a better helmet!! Lol! That JOFA!! Eeeshhh
🤣😂 |

Hmmmm...my 4...
Patrick Roy
Saku Koivu
Mats Naslund
Andrei Markov - Darksyde
Hey DarkSyde!! Solid choices my friend! It was SO hard for me NOT to include Koivu. He was a pillar |

Not a fan of Les Glorieux - but I think the Rushmore is fun to think about. I don’t have a favourite(s) so my Rushmore of respect:
The Roadrunner
The Rocket
Le Gros Bill
Howie Morenz
I think the ‘Murican Rushmore has 4 so the following are their own deserved Rushmore’s haha:
Flower
Big Bird
Serge Savard
Pocket Rocket
Jack The Horse
Steve Shutt
Bob Gainey
Ken Dryden

aww
why didn't you get it like everyone else did, during the pandemic, like a normal (frank)ing person... oy vey.
all kidding aside though I feel you, I remember it was pretty bad when I went through it, it's a b!tch of a (frank)ing virus. anyway you'll be fine, and hopefully the harsher symptoms will dissipate quickly enough so that you can actually enjoy a bit of time off while you're still contagious lol. |

not really but my brain wants to forget about the crappy habs years that went on from 1995 to forever in the 2000s
as much as fans crap on Bergevin, the Habs had a few good runs in the playoffs with him as GM. Not so much after the Roy trade and before he came over as GM |

while I agree with you 110%, he still somehow deeply scarred a certain portion of the fanbase... there's no convincing them it wasn't that bad, for those fans it was just horror. |

Well if you were alive and remember the 70s, maybe its something else but I dont know...what about 1995-1996 and all the years before Bergevin actually took over?
I think what happens is that those were so bad that those fans dont want to think about it any more than I do. But those years sadly happen. Oleg Petrov was a thing |

this is exactly the point I was trying to make the other day, but apparently there was nothing worse than the Bergevin years, anything good he potentially did was cancelled out x1000 with all his nightmare-inducing decisions.

In general, I find the good things he did were great, but the misses were colossal failures. He's like that hot/cold goalie.... He's either brilliant, or awful, not much in between. |

Senators trade DeBrincat to Red Wings for Kubalik, Sebrango, and two draft picks.
does anyone know if these Kubalik and Sebrango dudes are any good? it makes me smile a bit every time the senaturds fail at something, so it would be nice if they got fleeced lol... |

Debrincat would have got more for longer in Ottawa. Now he lives in Detroit |

Ottawa is boring AF but there's surely way less violence than in a city like Detroit, so I guess staying in OTT wouldn't have been the worst decision ever.
I hate to admit it but the senators are starting to have an interesting group of players, I would've thought a guy like Debrincat would've wanted to stick around and see what they can do, but it looks like he wasn't enjoying himself all that much after all. |

Conditional first, a middle 6 forward, a mid-tier prospect and a late pick.
