So who wants to bet Hockey Canada sneaks out the results of the 2018 WJC sexual assault investigation at like 4pm today so nobody notices on a Friday

Now with the Galchenyuk thing coming out do they really want more bad publicity thrown on top?

Bettman has been in charge for a lot of really bad crap and I’m not quite sure how you survive that.

The Galchenyuk thing is an NHL/PA problem, this is purely a Hockey Canada issue. The NHL may ultimately decide to take action against anyone found to have taken part in this sexual assault case, but they don't really have a ton of control over what the findings of a Hockey Canada investigation are and when they're released.

To a degree yes, but all the money is from the NHL and there’s no way the NHL is not controlling the narrative to the best of their ability. The upcoming NHL response or lack thereof is what I’m referring to when I bring Bettman into it

that's also why I don't think any potential discipline will be handed down by the NHL. They can't control something which they had no knowledge of at the time.

If I owned a company and found out as a result of an outside investigation that 5 of my current employees were involved in a sexual assault together at a time when they weren’t employed by me I’d fire them so (frank)ing fast or have them shipped to Siberia and forced to watch reruns of the final season of scrubs.

Ok, that's fair and when forcing me to make a decision I'd agree with you. But this is the NHL. They kinda don't care? Idk. I'm just rationalizing my brain to be like "Yeah don't expect players 1-8 to get in trouble."

He's grown the league. Not saying it's an excuse, though they worship the Almighty Dollar above all else.

He's 71 and took over the league in 1993. Not a fan of the guy but there has been revenue growth over the last 30 years. Sure there have been problems but I think overall his tenure has been successful.

MLS is gonna surpass him soon and the NHL is trying to get into (frank)ing NFTs like 6 months after the worlds most obvious bubble burst

Dragging out Nickleback is enough reason to can his shaky ass.
NHL will never get the viewership of any other major sports. The influx of immigrants is making MLS grow faster than perhaps it would have under normal conditions. Not getting political there. Also didn't know that about the NFTs. Such a scam.
I'd be all for someone else taking over. Would it be someone from the inside?
Agree with all you've said, so apparently I'm (mostly) not into bestiality.
