Prototype power forward back in the day. Part of the “bulldog” line, it’s Walt Tkachuk, and Bill Fairbain. Terrific 2nd line to compliment the “gag” line. Ratelle, Gilbert and Hadfield. Always thought that team could have won the cup, but they always seemed to give up a bad goal in crucial points in the playoffs.
Last note on Vickers, Emil Francis told a story as only he could, on how he stole Vickers from the St. Louis Blues. It was a great listen.
I could see Kreider-Tro-Wheeler being more or equally effective as Laf-Zib-Kakko anyways. Might get equal minutes 5on5, so who really cares what line is called "first" or "third". We all know Laf and Kakko can't finish.
The Panarin-Chytil-Vesey line may be the third most effective of those three lines 5on5 most nights as well.

I don't love Emily Kaplan, but she isn't terrible. AJ is fantastic. If I had it my way, MSG would replace that buffoon Goring with her on all Isles broadcasts.

Forgot about Botterill. With Kaplan she at least takes the time do the work. Where as Chelios, Messier and Subban just produce audible emptiness
