Just read a few of my posts.

It’s crystal clear that I could be a better GM than the guys currently employed by NHL teams.

Maybe you can take Lou’s spot I’ve been calling for his head always evidently.

I think it’s pretty funny you guys are all throwing out Dobson plus. He’ll be 25 and an RFA in 2025. We’re paying 4 million till that point. 49 points last season and 51 the prior on an offensively starved Islanders team. You want him plus for one year of Nylander who from what I’m reading wants ten million per. I think nylander is a good player and we need someone who can score goals but if Lameriello trades Dobson plus for the guy I’ll be the first one to call for his head. It isn’t happening you guys are completely delusional.

Islanders are not in a position to trade Dobson for just about anyone other then a like minded offensive defenseman. I say the even after he didn’t exactly have the best last season. We don’t have anyone that can realistically replace him in our system or otherwise. If we had found a way to keep Toews he would be more expendable but here we are…

I feel because of cap issues the leafs will not get what their fans think they should for nylander

Not sure that Nylander gets traded, if we are talking about cap issues, the Leafs are ok, even if they sign Nylander. Isles on the other hand are a cap team. Their youngest forward Wahlstrom is an RFA and hasn't scored 25 points yet in 3 seasons and Sorokin's salary goes up to gobble up any extra cap next year. After Lou retires, they will need to clean house. Paying 40-50 point forwards $7M to $9M isn't the way to go.

We would have to subtract too much to fit in Nylander's cap hit. Willie wants more than we would want to pay him. Lou has closed up shop until the trade deadline

Who would’ve known the Maple Leafs were a Ryan Reaves away from winning a cup. Now we do. Players that make other players feel safe are HUGE contributors. Ask the rangers they loved him there for the two mins he played every fourth game.
