What goaltender was really available and a solid upgrade that wouldnt block levi?

Valarov and the 2 Carolina guys weren't realistic.

UPL had a shot, and he was mostly bad. He's been inconsistent his entire career, outside of a year in juniors.

that's fine. the base of this team is all developing players. These models will probably look bad for another 2 years.

One argument in their favor is that our team defense was undeniably awful.

Our goalies look better when the system looks better.

Levi is obviously a better goalie and small sample provided more than UPL ever did. But both would improve their stats if our team D went from worst in the league to league average.

yeah, it's a legitimate excuse when your team is getting caked every (frank)ing game. But the fact that Levi was analytically way stronger than UPL and Comrie for that matter still points the finger at their incompetence. As a big factor.
