Even thinking Pegula would consider relocating the Sabres is idiotic. (1) The sabres were always his main interest growing up, (2) wouldn't it be awkward owning the BUFFALO bills, who are locked into Buffalo now for decades, and the Hamilton Sabres? (3) NFL rules DO NOT ALLOW a NFL owner to own another professional team in a separate city that also has an NHL team, so the KC's of the world are not an option.

Would signing better captains have been a better option though? Obviously they weren't the only UFAs with a track record of wearing letters. That's all I'm salty about, the better options weren't, seemingly, even explored.

That's the problem with buying toys. Eventually, you get sick of them. The Bills were purely an investment, and he's treating it as such, which is probably the reason for their success.

Tough to tell tbh. It's one of those intangible things, I'm not sure you can tell without being in the room. That's why I was more pointing at guys like Patches who have been in that position for years and should be considered good leaders.

Would the GM coming out during the season saying the team gets bullied, be an indictment on leadership?

Would Cozens admitting they tightened up and played nervous in meaningful games be an indictment on leadership?

Would the leader having good defensive chart numbers, influence the rest of the team to buy into playing 200’ hockey?

Would leadership help bring in vets to build a competitive roster?(Okposo brought in E Johnson lol)
