the issue we're stuck with is the past collection of players didn't work and didn't want to play here, so they were all swapped out with picks and prospects for the most part, who typically take a number of years to make a real impact.

It's not outlandish to wonder where the Sabres would be with Botts still as GM and no ownership breathing down his neck.

This offseason to me is very similar to the season Botts went out and grabbed all the RD in the world and did nothing with them.

If Murray would have applied GMKA method with the draft capital he had. He might still be here. Instead he went out and bought all his shiny toys at double the price. I say this all with the thought that he would have had to draft like KA not like the drunken sailor he did. Everything he did was bad.

So, as a coach, is Peca better than Ellis? Open question.

When it comes to our PK, our defense... I'd love to hear an argument in favor of Marty Wilford and Jason Christie.
