Every young goalie is going to go through it. UPL is the most recent here, so it's going to get comparisons.

If they want to make a move, waiting this long is a pretty big risk as well. Hope something falls into place.

Best course of action is for Donnie to install a better 200ft Defensive system. Integrate that and feed your fast break of off turnovers.

You could argue big picture theyve waited too long (like since last year or whatever) but for this summer I wouldnt say that.

What a Horrible off-season so far across the NHL. It feels like a couple moves could open up the gates on some things but do they even get done.

I would. UFA G market is tapped. Acquiring 1 and moving 1/2 out isn't an easy task this late and could fall apart entirely. How many have moved already is irrelevant. No one has to make a move at this point.

I would rather give Luukkonen 80 starts than sign korpisalo.

Take away some of those High Danger chances and turn that around into a defensive turnover which could lead to more offense for you. And take some pressure off your young goalie's

You cant see why the outcome of the investigation would have an effect? You trade major assets for a guy, parade him around, and then a week later he gets a lengthy suspension because the investigation yielded less than favourable results, thats not a good look is it?

Hart's not the only major domino. Kyrou's name has come up in trade talks too.

If KA is willing to dive into his coveted prospect pool there are things that can still get done:

Hellebuyck along with deMelo or Schmidt
Hart (Pending investigation) along with Konecny
Markstrom (1 year removed from Vezina finalist) along with Tanev or Hanifin

All would cost a lot and there’s the expiring contract thing, but, if he wants to make a move there are moves to be made

That's fair enough, I'll stick with what worked last year and add some experience on the back end.

Then I'll groom the franchise goalie and use the new experience to keep the young core grounded.

I'd be up for a different defensive system with 2 nhl vets helping, maybe ....
