So you list NYI as a potential destination but don't comment on the E4 rumour of Pageau and Wahlstrom being involved. The Leafs like Pageau to help the PK. Seems bizarre to me. Dobson makes far more sense. But an E4 should be heeded.

DrWikiBuzz is over that way.
Willy likely not going to the Isles there. Don't see the fit really and can't see the Isles stocking up the Leafs with picks, prospects, and their young dman. Then again it IS old man Lou and how senile he has gotten is a good question but...
Think we are starting the season with Willy and that will be that, but that 10-20 game into the season mark? Might find a team who thought they would make the playoffs needing a shake up and they pull the trigger perhaps.
As for Muzz, he is completely LTIR and ain't comin back there.
Still gotta get Murray either bought out or dumped off somewhere. Kinda wonder what is taking so long on that front. |

If you assume Gambrell is a cap casualty and heads to the Marlies and they carry 12F, 7D and 2G - then Samsonov would have to accept $2.35m if we buy out Murray. If we trade Murray, Samsonov would still have to accept $3m.
Outside of that window, they are entering into someone has to be traded territory.

IIRC, they can't buy out Murray until they come to a deal with Samsonov (because they have elected to go to arbitration). |

Fun fact: Nylander responsible for failure of Leafs to win Cup evert year since 1967 - Canada Cup
No Marner said it was not the core 4/5 and that the whole team needs to share responsibility and get better.

That's correct. A new buy out window will open for 48 hours 3 days after the arbitration award or the settlement are reached. So if Samsonov won't accept that $2.35m (and it seems and feels low given that he made $2m his last year in Washington and came here to prove himself, which he did), then they need to find a way to trade Murray before the start of the season.
My point is more that with the current 12F, 7D, 2G structure they'll likely need to go with, the maximum Samsonov can take if Murray is bought out is $2.35m - or $3m if they can trade Murray. Any more than that, and a trade will have to be made to create space.

He's not wrong. It's a team game.
Of course he's also sort of wrong because it was the the Core 4 that needed to be better. Against Florida at 5v5, Matthews had an assist, Tavares had an assist, Marner had a goal, and Nylander had a goal and an assist. That isn't good enough. The point made that at 50% of the cap, the Core-4 needs to produce isn't wrong at all - but the rest of the team also needs to be providing the defense to ensure the team can be successful, too. I mean Rielly had a goal a 3 assists; McCabe and Kampf had 2 assists, and Lafferty had a goal and an assist.
Against Florida at 5v5, Nylander and Matthews were -1, and JT and Marner were -2. Brodie and Acciari were -3 and McCabe was -5. Rielly was +3, Schenn, Kampf and Lafferty were +2.
So while it's a team game, it was the best of our team that let us down.

A HUUUUUUUGE way off topic here. Who do you all believe are to be guilty in the 2018 Canadian Junior sex scandal? I have the over under with Alex Formenton followed by Max Comtois and Gadjovich 🤷🏻♂️ |

Ya the kid says some dumb stuff eh. I know I’m not the only one who has noticed Marners affinity to voice how little the players care about what the media and FANS say. He’s right they don’t care but he needs to see how that alienated him from fans no? Not a huge fan of Odog (most I’m ok with but some not so much) but he even talked about it briefly when Johnson called in one episode of Overdrive.
Just not good thing to say. The best players need to be the best and they just weren’t. I give Marner a bit of a pass though on that cause I can tell he’s just really fed up with the pressure and scrutiny the team is under. Some players embrace and some get defensive. I feel like that’s how Willy is always so relaxed (not a good thing) I just think Willy does his own thing you know ha |

Willie or no Willie, Leafs have to shed significant salary to become cap compliant. The clock is ticking. Somebody has to go.
Edit : just read and remembered that Lou handed out a seven year contract to Engvall. - GalacticStone
Muzzin to LTIR and buy out Murray and it’s fixed.
So you get a bag of Richards too.

Also a very good point. It’s mistakes like his though that media coaches in house try to get them to avoid with their stick boring hockey cliches…long love the boring cliches in my opinion. Be boring and be a good player. |

Maybe the core 4/5 should share some of the $, then. Otherwise stfu earn your paycheck, oh, and how about WIN, and take the heat like a man ffs.
You ask for all the money, at least take the (frank)ing heat without crying like a female dog. This is exactly why this fanbase is not all in on Mitch, and this core. |

I am more in the middle of the vac/unvac argument but I will say that the hospital numbers cannot be 100% trusted..
The hospitals were getting a substantial amount of money per COVID case and in many cases the cause of death was COVID when in reality it was another cause.
Very close friend of the family lost somebody due to a heart attack(was not the first).. Was in the hospital for the heart attack and sadly passed and the cause of death was listed as COVID because they tested positive. They had no COVID symptoms..
Before everyone blasts me.. I do believe that the vaccines did something to help.. I do not believe that they were needed for all people. |

If he didn't understand when he signed his contract, how much pressure and scrutiny he was also signing on for, then he should be asking his agent why not.
female doging about it after each loss, is pretty damn immature in my opinion. |

But...the whole point of vaccines is to slow the spread of whatever disease they target, by making it harder for the virus to find a host.
Unless you go whole hog to get as much of the population covered as possible, then you're just pissing in the wind.
As for all the conspiracy theories about that specific vaccine, why? If they wanted to microchip\sterilize\turn everyone brown, they would just do it to all the other vaccines EVERYBODY in Canada\USA\Europe, already is given before they can enter public school. |
