I’ll toss it out as a repeat….
What if they think Rielly could be more skilled defensively if he stays focused on that hence the need to bring in Klingberg?
Just a flat out guess but I’m curious what you guys think as well - Dozzer
I think Mo isn’t as bad defensively as some people say.
He could be better no doubt, but he tries to drive the play. Imo, he’s Kris Letang. The game is different than it was during the 90’s, so it’s hard to compare him overall to other players of the past. But I really like his contract. To me, he should be considered “core 4” over someone else. |

Guerin didn't go so far as to guarantee that a deal wouldn't happen, but he did indicate it would take a very significant offer to get him to part with his defenseman.
"If somebody comes through and offers us a boatload for him, we'll think about it," admitted Guerin. "But I actually think Matt's playing his best hockey of the year right now. I would probably bet that he's here through the end of the year, but I can't make that promise." |

I honestly think Sammy gets a couple year deal about 3.8/season. Yes have to move Murray and maybe that is paired with Robertson. No real loss there given McMann,Steeves etc ate better suited to a bottom 6 role.
Could see a Brodie move as well honestly. Dont think Dumba is the target there though.

Dumba scored 14 (frank)en points last year and I would think he had PP opportunities. That's less than Holl! poopting the bed when he was heading into UFA status wasn't his best move. He'll sign a one year show me deal for alot less than $5M IMO.

I would agree. If the Leafs can move Brodie, a RHD with some size and nastiness could work.

This has nothing to do with hockey, so HB seems like the right place for it. LOL
I just bought a keychain made from the recycled armor of a destroyed RuSSian T-72 tank blown up by the Ukrainians near Kyiv during the early part of the war.
I'm donating my drone also. I have no better use for it.

Treliving wanted another puck moving guy back there who gives Keefe more options on the PP. Hopefully putting him with McCabe cuts back on the defensive woes with Morgan and TJ together. - Canada Cup
I’m thinking this D can move the puck well enough and needed to be amplified defensively… I’m no GM tho so I’ll give the new guy some rope on this |

What do ya’s think of @BigHeadHcky’s 2026 Team Canada projection?
Point-McDavid-Marner
Dubois-Bedard-Mackinnon
Verhaeghe-Barzal-Stamkos
Fantilli-Crosby-Reinhart
Toews-Makar
Theodore-Hamilton
Power-Dobson
Carter Hart
Devon Levi
Personally I’d have RNH, Rielly, Suzuki on it. |

You can also play goal. Man that’s awful goaltending. Huberdeau might get back in the mix with a bounce back |

Levi would have to really step up if he were to make it.. but two years is a long time for someone to break through. I can’t see it being Carter Hart. |

JT will be a leaf til the end of his career like it or not.
My primary curiousity is what he’ll sign for next. My guess is $6 mill a year for 4-5 more. |

If they don’t win a cup during his current contract, then I can’t see them really paying him anything significant. |
