Glad to see Letang would be stoked (allegedly) to get ek. He would remain #1D but pp QB would go to ek. - 10inchTerror
Letang in Kessels old spot and EK as the QB would make this the best unit they’ve had in 5+ years. |

That team record holding 17-18 unit was a machine. Kessel, Letang, Malkin and Sid turning guys inside out with Horny causing chaos netfront. So much fun. |

This probably sounds stupid but...would Carolina be interested in Petry? Maybe they'd Take Petry, and Joesph, while San Jose takes Granlund? San Jose gets our 1st to eat 20%? Idk...I'm bored. |

if you trade Petry, it's because someone is willing to take him, not because they specifically wanted him.

Would be nice. I'm asking if Carolina is strictly interested in EK because he's that good? Or would they consider taking Petry and a young dman to help them? Are they looking at someone else incase they don't get EK? I don't follow them. |

I'm surprised Letang is ok with that. Always hear about how prideful he is. |

They're only interested in EK because he's EK.
They want scoring help however they can find it. If it's not him, they're looking at Tarasenko or other options up front instead. |

Got to be because they like EK. They don't really have a hole. |

Tatar yes.
Tony's a leaf.
If they were signing TDA it would have happened by now. Sounds like Dundon squashed that. |

Saw it a couple places online. An article is now in theScore app. It says “Crosby and Letang endorse pursuit of Karlsson” but no actual quotes from them in the article which is why I put ‘allegedly’ in brackets. |

It's from Yohe's recent article on the athletic and it's not a quote from Letang. It's Yohe speculation that Letang would let Karlsson take over as QB for PP1.
"If the Penguins acquire Karlsson I wouldn’t worry about Letang’s feelings being hurt.
A decade ago? Yeah, that might have been a different story. But Letang is a different man now. He wants to win. If the Penguins acquire Karlsson, Letang will almost certainly relinquish his spot as quarterback on the power play without complaint. He’s smart enough to know that Karlsson does some things better than he does and that he does some things better than Karlsson." |

Why would Carolina have any interest in Petry at those $$ and same for San Jose with Granlund...there is 0 chance of either happening though I do hope you guys get EK..Dont want him going to a real contender like Carolina . If he can stay healthy he is a force but mot sure he can do that again |

Agree. EK helps with that. Petry doesn't really improve on what they have. |

Carter + Granlund + JJ's cap hit + all my memories of the Jagr for Kris Beech trade for EK at minimum wage and some good burritos. Get it done Dubas! |

Lol. But also I stopped crying over the Jagr trade, think about if the Pens financially could have kept Jagr and company. No Fleury, No Geno, No Sid. Would have been absolutely different. Maybe the Pens get one more cup in the early 2000's. Now I was pissed that Shero put Kennedy above Jagr. That should have been a no brainer to reunite Jagr back. |

I think this also fundamentally changed TK’s legacy in Pitt through no fault of his own. If we had let Kennedy walk and signed Jagr, Kennedy’s probably a cult hero in Pitt but instead our last memory of him is that of a pretty frustrating limited player making too much money that we resigned instead of bringing back Jagr. |
