LOL, there was a Brawny Paper Towel ad that popped up below your comment! You're the antithesis of the dude on the Brawny wrapper! They say the ads that pop up are based on what you search. I'm sort of a meticulous neat freak so it makes sense. You get a lot of ads for Bud Light do ya? - Hatboro_Swords

You keep making excuses. That was not supposed to happen this summer.
We weren't supposed to talk about hold ups, slow markets, players refusing to waive NTC's etc, etc.
Again, I ask why the sudden change of heart?
I don't need you to say he sucks when you obviously believe otherwise.
Just call a spade a spade. Dude is afraid to lose a trade. He's afraid to push chips in the middle.
We have a GM who won't do what it takes to push us beyond just a pretty good team.
It kinda sucks - sbroads24
There hasn’t been a change of heart.
There hasn’t been a player moved that justifies me being pissed off yet.
When that happens, I’ll join the mosh pit.

Too slow - Boss34
I have heard that about Cozens skating just 2 years ago, as well as several other career NHL players, ROR is slow asf and somehow that’s never affected him.

If there was any chance in the world we could acquire Keller, it ended when EK connected us with him. |

Trades have been made this offseason so I don’t think that analogy applies.

How about we all save the "not supposed to be any excuses/ruining this season just like last year" talk until close to the TDL? Summer post-draft is mostly a time for hockey-trades or overpaying free agents but it will be far more telling (for me, personally) how Adams approaches December through March...that will show me if he's going into another year as a milquetoast or if he's serious about getting us over the hump.
What I mean is, I'm willing to not give myself a stroke for now. If we are in a good position in December and he pulls one or 2 moves to bring in some good, higher-end talent before or at the tdl, then giddyup. If we're in a real good position and he stands pat, then whatever, hopefully the vibes continue and upsetting the apple cart might be a bad thing...but if we come out flat and stink up the joint and he sits on his hands until March, then allllll this "potential criticism" pointed at Adams right now will be justified. Until then, my jets are cooled.
No team's season is made or broken in July, imo. |

If you’re someone who thinks Levi at 21 is going to basically break every barrier rookie/goalies with no pro or AHL experience have yet to break, and think Jordan Greenway is really a 20 goal middle six winger as opposed to a 4th line caliber tweener, then maybe you don’t think this wasn’t an offseason in which Adams needed to make a pretty big stamp on the roster.
I’m not sure of those things |

Levi could just be the one to do it.
Greenway, however, is not the one.
Offseason needed to be better as did last year's TDL. We can only wait and see if the year over year improvement from the youngins is enough to overcome. |

You think KA is going to be a big buyer at the deadline, where it's usually rentals? Let's just kick the can until next June. That's when he'll flip the switch.

Conversely, they are totally sunk if the goaltending is bad. No one trades a starting goaltender in season until the deadline.
He has to be right about Luukkonen and Levi or it's over before it starts |

I think Greenway does have the potential to be a 20-goal middle six winger actually.
Levi, yeah I am cautiously stoked on him but you’re acting as if Roy, Barrasso, MAF and Price never happened. There literally is a precedence.
And MAF was awful his first two years. So was Roy. |

I don't get this analogy, overpaying FA really didn't happen this year. If Adams wants rentals at the TDL he could have gotten some good ones cheap the last 3 weeks, without giving assets up to get them like at the TDL would happen. |

It's funny how it's all the guys who spend their days looking at prospects who don't actually want the Sabres to try; because how much fun is it looking at who the 27th best prospect is? If the Sabres were actually good they'd have to figure out something else to do. |

Who said I didn’t want the Sabres to try?
I’m not going to sit here and moan and cry all day when literally nothing of significance has happened in the trade market apart from Debrincant forcing his way to Detroit which even took months despite everyone knowing that was how it was going to go.
Like seriously ? Who has Adams missed on ?
