Quinn will be fine. Smaller guys are always more prone to injury. He'll learn his limits and gain experience in strength and training, and put on mass to endure NHL seasons.
Now if the guy is glass out on the ice for the next few years.. guess the tune changes. - TheSabresTaco
I don't think 6'0" 185 is small + an achilles injury is a freak injury, has nothing to do with size. |

And this is where I wanted to tread carefully. The number of people that want to blame the Shot That Must Not Be Named for these things and the number of people that want to dismiss it outright are probably close to the same. The reality is the answer is somewhere in the middle, or at least that it might not play nicely with some other substances these athletes put in their bodies. - buffalofan19
I was joking about the vaccine however, there is info coming out now that does alarm me - I got both jabs and a booster. Then got diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. |

New York topped the list of heaviest tax burden on individual.
Also 2nd worst state for any startup.
Buffalo being Buffalo it falls victim and is guilty by association with NYC costs - ImThatGuy
New York and New Jersey flip-flop for that title every year.

I believe a team is prohibited from trading a player for a year after abritration ruling? - turbo044
They can.
You might be thinking of matching an offer sheet. That comes with the trade restriction. |

Allentown is a bunch of lame, tatted up drunks and Elmwood is a bunch of snobs. The West side is still a dump, the East side, too, and downtown is just as much of a ghost town as ever.
Buffalo is a large carcass of a city with too much empty space and not enough of anything to fill the gaps and bring it together and it is still extremely segregated.
It’s revitalization is an illusion. - Nightmare Fuel

Yep. Would have to be done before the ruling from his hearing on the 30th

A reasonable package for Helleybuck from a Jets fan.
Thought it was interesting.
We all know nothing is going to happen in goal though. - Stripes77
Just don't think you're getting that for a rental goalie.
Conditional 1st on Sabres making the 2nd round (maybe even making the POs), UPL, 3rd or 4th, B prospect

And I don't think Buffalo would be interested in extending him at $8+ million/year |

The full trade was:
Miller, Ott for Jaroslav Halak, forward Chris Stewart, prospect William Carrier, a 2015 first-round pick and a conditional 2016 third-round pick
Then Halak and a 3rd went to Washington for Neuvirth and Klesla
The first was sent in part of the Evander Kane trade.
That entire trade tree is interesting.
Stewart was sent to Minny for a 2nd which they took UPL
Neuvirth was sent to NYI for Chad Johnson and a 3rd which that 3rd was sent to Pittsburgh for hiring Bylsma |

If they had an aggressive summer, maybe a 1 year rental made some sense. With their ultra-conservative approach, doesn't make any sense now.
Swayman is unlikely, but it's fun to think about. Perfect fit. If Levi beats him out down the road, great. If not, extend him. If not for collusion, should have offer sheeted him. |

And that's what you'd be paying Markstrom for the next 4 years, which why trading for him makes a lot of sense. Grab Hanifin and Backlund while your at it for a huge trade.
Hellebuyk you're not extending for $6 per |

Sure, but it would cost the Sabres a ton and not sure KA is willing. Plus, why would Arizona want to tarde Keller? |

Well the Sabres could make a very enticing package and Arizona won't be doing much for a few years anyway. We could help there future while we help ourselves for the now and down the road. |

-In his conversation with the coaches, Olofsson says they told him he needs to be more consistent, and he needs to get his compete level up a little bit.
"Sometimes it’s really good, and sometimes I have a small dip."
That says it all. His compete level is never good and he thinks it's just a small dip when he's playing poorly. |

when you have the worst +/- for any forward in the NHL over the last 3 years
it's so much more than a small dip
