a GM utilizing LTIR vs spending futures to manage cap is smart. The new GM in Toronto quickly put his stamp on that roster and is setting the tone. They are trying to establish a new identity, it's pretty interesting to see him work. - washedup20

Imagine he'll go for a fraction of that. IE. take out Savoie.
Don't think it makes any sense, but it would be fun to watch. - Lunaion
Yeah, would be fun, but not the investment we need to make most likely. Just fun to think of the Swedes together. |

Why take it with a grain of salt?
Burns was excellent last season for them.
He only has 2 seasons left on his deal, and he only costs Carolina $5.2M per against their cap.
They aren't trading him. - kingcong39
I just hadn't heard of a 3 team NMC was all. |

Would be fun, he would be my last choice on that list though. IMO if the Sabres really wanted to make a move they could make another team really consider it if they wanted to. They have the assets.
What would it take to make Tampa think about moving Cernak. They could use some future and do have some D in the pipeline.
What would it take to get Vegas to move Theodore, again there D pipeline has choices. There are other teams that have players that maybe if Adams made that push could be had. - Buff36
Cernak would be a huge get IMO and probably more in line with what we can/should be doing. Karlsson is more of a fun exercise lol. |

I asked chat GPT to tell me about Good Day™️
As Buffalo Sabres General Manager Kevyn Adams, I couldn't be more thrilled about the upcoming hypothetical hockey holiday called "Good Day." This day holds immense significance for our team, the Buffalo Sabres, as it provides us with a unique opportunity to finally make trades that could significantly shape the future of our organization.
Breaking the Stalemate: Leading up to "Good Day," there might have been some trade discussions and potential deals in the works, but due to various constraints and uncertainties, both internally and with other teams, we might have been stuck in a stalemate. "Good Day" allows us to break free from this deadlock and finally execute on some long-awaited trades.
The Buffalo Sabres have a passionate and dedicated fanbase, and they are eager to see positive changes that will improve the team's performance. "Good Day" presents an opportunity for us to show the fans that we are committed to the team's success and are actively working to build a competitive and winning franchise.
In conclusion, "Good Day" is an exciting prospect for me as the Buffalo Sabres General Manager because it provides a much-needed chance to make trades, address team needs, engage with other GMs, and ultimately build a strong foundation for the future of our team. It's an opportunity to inject new life into the organization and put the Buffalo Sabres back on the path to success and glory on the ice. |

Funny stuff, NHL is a joke about this Sh!t. Should be a penalty if you use LTIR at certain points. Especially if you are a Team constantly doing it. Why have a Cap if 5 to 10 teams are constantly going over it. |

Didn't he play and backup in the playoffs - Buff36
Not the first time they've played this game. This is exactly what they NHL said they wanted to crack down on.

Chat GPT thinks maybe August 12
"August 12th would generally fall within the NHL offseason, but it's important to note that the timing for specific events, like "Good Day," would depend on the NHL's official schedule, their plans for the offseason, and any other events or activities they may have planned. To know if August 12th (or any other date) would be a good day for "Good Day" or a similar hockey event centered around trades, you would need to refer to the NHL's official announcements or updates for that particular year." |

It's a joke, but it has been used by Tampa/Vegas and now Toronto as leverage to build their most competitive roster. There is no asterisk next to the Stanley Cup winner if they used LTIR to their advatange.
