Confirmed he's spoken with Pittsburgh, Carolina, Seattle and Toronto -- plus others -- and says "I just want the best chance to get to the best team." |

I'd be fine paying a 2nd and Rosen for two years of Hart. That's just the cost of doing business - Hank Balling y
Yep and Levi simply can't be thrown in 55+ games as a rookie. You trade for Hart and they split starts. At this point in their careers, Hart may end up being the better goalie than Levi, no one knows. So you play both and see what you have. Hart is a RFA after 2024 so is still under tema control. Anybody here who feels comfortable with UPL playing 40+ games is delusional.
As for trading Rosen, is he reall going to beat out Benson, Savoie, Kulich, Ostlund even Rousek for a roster spot ever? He seems to be a nice prospect but is certainly not indispensable.
If you don't like Hart, you trade for Markstrom. He has to waive is NMC but with 3 years left at a pretty reasonable $6m per, he seems to be the perfect tandem with Levi. He's one year removed from being a Vezina finalist. I think last year was a team related outlier.

as much as I dog Adams
getting Johnson under contract when he could have walked and getting the third back botts used to draft portillo was kind of huge

His drafting “appears” to be pretty good. Hopefully it translates to the nhl. Because his off season acquisitions have been lacking. |

I thought there was maybe a 5% chance either would happen, let alone both.
Agreed on both of those being big |

Adams’ best asset is patience
His skill is sitting on his hands
Darcy 2.0 but a stat bonus of being the creeper in the dungeon who 2 years down the road steals a trade. |

The Last Jedi.
The Last Samurai.
Same movie.
Misinterpreted title.
Tom Cruise isn’t the last Samurai.
Rey isn’t the last Jedi.
Wantanabi and Hamill are the last.
Star Wars Bad Batch > Clone Wars.
The Bad batch are the good batch.
I have spoken. |

Adams has done a good job of rejuvenating the pipeline and the Franchise to a point. Know he has to learn the other part of building the puzzle. How to finish a trade instead of talking about it. |

spector morning headlines
THE HOCKEY NEWS: Remy Mastey recently cited Sportsnet’s Luke Fox reporting the Arizona Coyotes have emerged as the leading candidates to sign Matt Dumba. The Maple Leafs, Buffalo Sabres and Dallas Stars also reportedly had interest along with the Sharks. Dumba, 28, is the top defenseman remaining in this summer’s unrestricted free-agent market.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: It’ll be interesting to see what type of contract Dumba signed regardless of which team gets him. He could bet on himself with a one-year deal in the hope of landing a more lucrative deal next summer when the salary cap is projected to rise by $4 million for 2024-25. |
