Mike Reilly signed in Florida, Reilly was squeezed out of his spot in Boston by your favorite former Jet Forbort. - JetFuel
Who was then healthy scratched for Zboril and later Orlov.

Forbort at $3 Mill this season. I can understand why the Bruins have salary cap issues. |

That's one way to look at it I suppose.
I believe Lowry and Morrissey have had leadership roles since they were teen-agers probably, not just with the Jets. I also believe that just because they wore "A's" when Wheeler wore the "C" and Scheifele an "A", doesn't mean they were disciples of the captain and his side-kick.
Lowry and Morrissey both lead by example, if, as some think, in no other way. Maybe I'm the only one thinking this way, but they play a part of my leadership team going forward.
And we have potential captains, if we believe their press clippings, in McGroarty and Barlow, on the way. - grahamzky
Josh Morrissey came into the league when he was 20. Adam Lowry came into the league when he was 21.
Josh Morrissey is 28 now and Adam Lowry is 30. If I read your post correctly. Both will forget the last 8-9 years of leadership they experienced from Wheeler and the rest of the Atlanta 5 and revert back to who they were when they were teenagers.
As far as McGroarty and Barlow are concerned, they are going to be learning how to be leaders from Lowry and Morrissey who learned how to be leaders from guys like Blake Wheeler. |

Should we bring back Nic Petan and Sammy Niku to be the new leaders of the Jets? Anthony Bitetto?
Realize you have a serious hate on for Lowry (and perhaps JoMo), but just because they served under Wheeler and Scheifele doesn't mean they can't lead IMO. |

Really not sure how the leadership qualities of Morrissey and Lowry are linked to Ladd, Buff, Wheeler, Scheifele, Trouba, Hendricks, Noel, Maurice etc etc until the end of time.
If you are a leader and more importantly a listener/learner you take the best of what you saw and mix with how you think and feel.
Talking any other way makes it sound like there is some sort of Wheeler cult that has damaged all players beyond saving lol
You either have leaders and a good room or you don’t. What happened yesterday, last year, 5 years ago doesn't mean Fak all.

I mean if you heard JoMo and Lowrys post season interviews you might think there's a Wheeler cult.. lol
Idk how the past means f@ck all when there's been room issues lingering for 5 freakin years at least! |

True North itself is fine with the “middle” of the league, that works against any leader I’m sure.
That said if Wheeler is/was the poison then it really doesn't mean anything, he’s gone.
If we have a team of children and whiners that’s a much bigger problem. |

Don't really understand what those players have to do with leadership. They all do have one thing in common and that is they were all brought in by Chevelallseasonoff.
I don't hate Lowry. He's a fourth line center at best that gets played beyond what he is.
If one really wants to change the "culture" in the room, then you must get rid off everyone that is old or has links to the old guard. Let the young kids figure out the league and a leader will emerge from them.
Just my take.....

To be fair, Ladd, Buff, and Hendricks at the very least deserve credit for their leadership qualities. Even if one them couldn’t skate by the time he came here. |

Ladd was a terrible leader, really not a guy you want leading a team or around young players.
Hendricks was brought in for a reason and it wasn't his playing abilities. |

Ladd won 2 chips, and never had a bad word said about his leadership from what I’ve seen |

According to Gary Lawless, Ladd was a part of the "Atlanta 5".
One thing I have learned about Lawless is that the man has integrity!
