Because Eklund is a clown that likes to rank his "rumors" in "Eklund Strength" so "e4" is the 2nd highest I think. e1-e5 is typically what he does. It's a bunch of BS though. - j.boyd919
It all means nothing except for e5 which means LeBrun reported it’s done. |

I thought he couldnt top a rumor of us signing a guy that Seattle had already signed... but then he says the death of Rocky Wirtz was a rumor that originated from him... plus he spelled "Wirtz" wrong originally. |

Ha, OK. Most of these "rumors" seem to be things found on twitter or in published interviews like the one EK just did ... and yet the "source" is always "Eklund". - MickV

It's impressive how much worse things have gotten. I'm pretty sure he has just given up and is going through the motions. |

Its up there for me, for sure. I think Breaking Bad takes the cake for me but Sopranos is a close 2nd. The Wire is lingering around the top of the list for me as well.

Breaking Bad was really good, just too slow at times. I was entertained by The Sopranos the whole way through. The Wire is one of my favorites too but Season 2 was kind of whack.

For these arbitration cases, the salaries proposed by the teams look like fan proposals on the internet: We shouldn't pay Swayman any more than $2M, and if he doesn't accept that, just trade him for McDavid. |

See I felt BB just kept building and building towards something, never ever found it slow. I thought Sopranos lost a bit of steam in the last few seasons with some filler episodes ie Tony's dream episode and I wasn't huge fan of the ending. Having said all of that, I only ever watched each episode once and right when it came out...so the final season was 2006...thats f'n 17 years ago. Perhaps I should revisit but I never usually watch shows more than once...except the Simpsons when I was younger haha. |

Not really. Tarasenko gets decent money and will fill the “void” of debrincat. The 1 year deal has seemed to be the standard this off-season in hopes the cap will rise and get a better deal next year |

Haha, I've watched the Sopranos in it's entirety like 7-8 times. Sometimes I'll just throw on a random episode as background noise, but then I'll get hooked again and re-watch the whole series lol I have never watched BB again, I honestly should. Dunno how much TV we'll be watching after the baby's born though and that's going to be any day now haha. |

My take on BB is that BB is what people who have never seen an HBO show think the best show ever made is. Breaking Bad is an incredible, top tier show that still finds away to be overrated because a lot of people think it’s the GOAT and it’s just not in that ball park. |

My TV consumption did a massive uptick with children. There’s just nothing else to go to hike you’re watching an inanimate object all the time. |

Petry's 15 team no trade list will likely cut out all the west coast teams. Consistent reporting across the board is he wants to stay as close to Michigan as possible. So, likey on that list is SJ, ANA, ARZ who are teams that could absorb the cap hit. On the east coast side it's basically just Chicago that's realistic for him at this point. So, it would be 3-team deal Petry to CHI, with sweetener depending if CHI wants to eat up some of Karlsson cap as well. Maybe Petry + 1st in 2024 to CHI for 3rd/4th/B-level prospect in 2024 with 10-20% of EK salary taken up. SJ gets probably conditional 1st in 2025 for unrealistic expectations that will probably never be met, otherwise a 2nd or 3rd, and maybe POJ while eating up a good chunk of salary on EK. DeSmith may be somewhere in there too..
CHI: Petry (full cap hit) + 20% of EK cap hit not taken on by SJ, PIT 1st in 2024
PIT: EK at (33% retained by SJ=7.7, then CHI taking 20%of that = 6.17 hit/year)
SJ: conditional PIT 2025 1st if win cup/norris/80pt season (more likely 2nd or 3rd), POJ, DeSmith, CHI B-level prospect/mid pick - mventres
Why would Chicago give un anything in this scenario? |

Ha. Looks like I'm firing up Breaking Bad again. And yes I agree with you, HBO shows are just on another tier all together.
Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, The Wire, GoT, House of the Dragon, True Detective, Band of Brothers, Succession, Barry, Deadwood, Westworld...
They're all so god damn good. |

Show I liked better than band of brothers was the pacific. But ya, HBO series are by far the best. Even back to OZ was above its time.

You liked the PAcific more? I don't think I got into the Pacific that much. It was done by the same people from BoB wasn't it? Oz was gnarly. |
