Apparently he was considered a 10 million dollar a year player and we signed him for the normal 1.3 million ish. I believe.


I think Beane has a plan to extend some of the current 1 year players.

He is almost a ppg player in the playoffs for the entire time he's been in Dallas, they have a team that can get to the dance without him, he shows up when it counts.

Also it can be argued the intangibles he brings off the ice to that locker room has done wonders, that's how it works right, plus it's only a 1 year deal.

The validity of that applause is based off his comments that the locker room is finally healthy. I do not understand how Okposo is credited with that as even his comments come off as the new coach and core are responsible.

If you want to say he gets in front of the cameras to allow the young guys to focus, ok I can buy that. Is that worth $2.5mm, to me, no.
