Levi getting figured out could be a huge issue. - IndianaSabresFan
Good thing they have a strong veteran presence back there.
Also doesn’t the goalie coach kind of blow?
Isn’t that a reason a goalie or two don’t want to come here? |

UPL and Comrie will be very calming veteran influences.
Yes he does.
I believe that is the reason Murray said no. |

Interesting, I thought Andy looked spent last year, but okay.
Clifton will likely move a guy like Lyubushkin or Bryson out of the lineup. Upgrade? - RhinoFan
Anderson only played 26 games last season, posted a .908 save % and 3.06 GAA
So if Levi is the guy, double the games played, where do you see his save % and GAA?
I agree if Clifton removes either of those players its an upgrade, not one that decides games though.

Apparently I'm sipping the Kool Aid again...
Here I was thinking that the only thing that stopped us from making the playoffs last year was losing Samuelsson for so long. If he's healthy we likely make it by a handful of points, not just squeak in.
Add Levi for a year and Clifton, I thought we were "likely in" vs "probably out". Sip, sip, sip I go. |

Better on both. Levi matched that already. The defense is going to be better this year, thus I'd expect a .910+ and under 3.0GAA.
And Clifton may not win us games, but Bryson certainly lost us some...I think there's a big divide between those two in terms of talent from what I can tell.
Edit: I'm actually surprised, given how bad our bottom pairing was, that we don't see him as a substantial improvement I guess. Flashed on it, I did (as Yoda would say). |

23/24:
Levi - 50+ games with a .910+ and under 3.0GAA
The defense improving (by how much?)
Do you see the offense improving on last season as well?
How many players on the roster do you see having career years? |

I read on X yesterday that the moves made by Dubas opened $3mm for them to sign Tatar as well.

Imagine Pat Kane signing in Pittsburgh....if they can squeeze the juice out of these vets that team is going to have a starting lineup of all HOF'ers |

I like the move for them. Karrlsson is not a perfect fit for most teams, by any means. You’ve still got a competitive Crosby, that clearly does not want to take the PKane route to retirement. Keeps them competitive for two more years and Crosby retires a stud.
Maybe even one more cup run in him |

Quantifying improvement is tough, but, as an example, replacing Bryson or Lyubushkin, with Clifton last year gets us in. Johnson and Levi are just gravy to me.
Tage, Cozens, Petey, Power, Krebs and Dahlin I think can have career years this year. Skinner, Tuch and Mitts will regress a bit, but are more than covered by the rest, is my guess. |

Pronman projects Ratzlaff, Savoie and Benson for Canada, Ostlund for Sweden and Leinonen for Finland. Wahlberg an extra for Sweden, for now.
I'm sure Kulich and probably Strbak go. Too bad the Russians can't, Komarov and Neuchev are shoe-ins. |

Probably around Andy's numbers last year, .908 and a 3.06 sound about right. I don't expect us to let in a TON less goals than last year, but we should be better. Our backup's numbers will become our starter's numbers and our starter will be middle of the pack again (sv% wise at least). |

Kane is coming off a major hip injury. That isn’t good for his age and the amount of miles on this tires.
He wasn’t good late year.
He’s just a big name that won’t carry his weight / cap hit. |

How many games do you think Levi starts this year? Serious question
If you think he starts “double” or what anderson did last year. You are out of your mind thinking he starts 50+ games as a rookie.
Levi played what? 5-7 games last year and now suddenly people act like he’s a 6 year vezina trophy veteran player lol |

A little under a point per game last season while enduring hip issues. 6 points in 7 playoff games on a team that the coach mismanaged.
He has no cap hit at this point in time and his hip will be greatly improved.
