New-ish Athletic Article
- JCSabs06[The Athletic] Sabres playoff roadmap: Has Kevyn Adams done enough to end Buffalo's drought?
https://archive.ph/yQq2H
Unless you want me to copy and paste the whole thing?
One thing that stuck out to me, the author states "Those players weren’t propped up by flukey or unsustainable shooting percentages. There aren’t any glaring signs of regression present. "
When
Tage - 15.9 ( career 5.5, 6.5, 0, 8.3, 15 )
Skinner - 14.5 ( career 14.4, 9.5, 8.2, 12, 7.7, 11, 13.2, 8.7, 14.9, 7.7, 6.3, 12.6, 14.5 )
Tuch - 16.5 ( career 0, 8.8, 11.1, 8.2, 12.7, 8.6, 16.5 )
Dahlin - 7.4 ( career 5.1, 4.4, 4.3, 7.6 )
Cozens - 14.7 ( career 6.5, 8.1, 14.7 )
Olofsson - 17.4 ( career 9.5, 15.7, 10.1, 12.2 )
Stretching reality to fit a narrative, desperate to write something positive/hopeful, all in all...a dumb article.

Thanks, You pretty much called the off-season so far. It's been very underwhelming with the assets and Cap he had available IMO. |

Sportico has the Bills valued at 4.1 Billion. Not a bad investment by Pegula. Even as bad as the Sabres have been he probably makes a nice profit from them when he sells. |

I would have liked to seen an upgrade with the Forward position but didn't happen. I don't mind the 2 adds on D. Adams seems to think he's done enough, most on the team are happy with what has been done so far I was told. |

Because their is no competition brought in for their spots, that Olo trade talk went away the day Quinn got hurt. It's a comfortable room in there, is that good or bad?

Well as soon as Girgensons resigned, you could basically see what there plan was. |

I told you both 21 and 28 resigning was coming, only in 21's case, it was all up to him but the intention was to bring both back. |

Wonder if a new stadium would help him sell, or a long term restrictive lease would hurt.

Didn't bon jovi want to keep the team here or was he planning on moving them to TOR?

Bills can't go anywhere for 30yrs, that was built into the Negotiations. He can sell but the team stays in Buffalo. I think he is gonna sell the Sabres, think it's just a matter of when. |

The Sabres are currently a nice tax write off for pegula. Why would he sell? |

Yeah ok, I'm sure he is making a profit by how much he is able to write off. The term is sunk cost fallacy. |

Bon Jovi wanted to move them to Toronto. It was leaked somewhere years ago. Some document came out |

For the most part …… most NHL teams are not profitable.
Prior to pegula and the losing, it was rumored just for the Sabres to break even…. They needed to make playoffs.
So he bought the team knowing it would run in the red on a yearly basis. |
