He's finally back in NA. Would expect his extension to be announced in the next week or so.

He shouldn't be in rochester but he shouldn't be the starter. Not if they want this to go well anyways.

Probably not, but by extension i dont think theres any harm in him being a 20-30 start guy in the NHL while managing the competition he faces. He gets to practice here which is valuable too, but thats also why the 3 goalie thing makes me nervous.

3 goalies means the practice time is cut in thirds too. So you may be able to limit his starts but you don't gain anything from that cause he has to share the ice with these two goalies.

I do not for a second believe this was their plan A or even back up plan, but it is an indictment of the GMs ability to adapt to the market.

Im not sure what happens moving forward, the one thing I like is they arent afraid to change the game plan early in the year. When the bottom six C position was in disarray they added Jost in November.

Will they do it for goaltending? No idea.

I don't think many of the moves the last few years were their plan A.

Re-signing Vinny last summer, instead of the C they needed, couldn't have been their Plan A.

Three of those aren't prospects in the context you're talking about. The other one was literally 18.

I would've given Rosen a look personally. He had a strong second half but I guess middle of a playoff push they didnt want to "savoie" it.
