Asked this morning if they struggle to evaluate, make decisions, or make actual moves. I get the feeling it's following through and making the moves, but I'm not sure.

When you extend VO for 2 years, it tells me someone got the evaluation right. Short term deals scream that on a few guys.

Yeah i think its making moves too. It's possible it's driven by the idea that they overvalue their own guys because of how well they are perceived to draft and develop players.

My thinking is more that he's not good at making trades.

I think Darcy/Kyvyn would have been the perfect person to complete the teardown and start the rebuild in earnest. Adams has done a "Gaustad-for-a-first" type job on the Eichel tear down.

Now they need a chain-smoking, beer drinking Tim Murray to cast aside some prospects and get this poop cooking with gas. Murray was two years too early. Adams has waited two years too long

I dont mind getting a GM who shoots from the hip as they say, but I need it to be one just a little smarter than Tim.

They're two sides of the same coin honestly. One guy potentially too high on his own prospects, unwilling to move unless its the perfect deal. Then the other guy, prepared to give up everything for specific players, not cause theyre good or good fits, just cause he likes them.
