If that's all it took every god damn fairy figure skater would be in the NHL.
When I say fairy I don't mean homo, I mean when they dress up as literal fairies to reenact Disney movies for the kids. - GodIsaCatholic
Of course it's not all it takes but I mean it's different than watching Pezzeta go down the ice. |

I spent a lot of time at the Toronto Zoo photographing those animals. I could sit at one habitats for hours, just watching and waiting for the perfect picture. That is such a great place and the work they do for animal conservation is really amazing. - Mashadar
Yeah us, Calgary and Toronto do alot of work for animal conservation |

I wouldn't. and you know how I would like to see Lafreniere in Mtl. - fidopro
If you compare them in their draft year, the hype around Lafrenière was WAY higher.
I still think he's bound to do great things too.
But Slaf does bring an very interesting package of size and skill that'd be hard to give up.

I just think his stock has fell off a bit (Lafreniere) and Habs should not give a 1st round pick for him if this pick have a good chance of being a top5 pick. even if Lafreniere was drafted 1st overall.
now can Hughes package something that could interest NYR? I'd be all for it. maybe our 1st top10 protected? |

There might be some trades, but spots will be opening up in the next few years.
After this year: Hoffman, Pitlick, Wideman, Monahan OUT Edmunson and Alzner off books + ~11M cap space and 4 kids
After next year: Dvorak, Armia, Evans, Savard, Kovacevic OUT ~14M cap space and 5 more kids
So inserting 4 or 5 kids every year will be fine, don't want an all rookie line-up.
They can probably get by without trades for the next couple of years - braidan
Kovacevic might stick, no? |

A good, cheap waiver wire pick up.
Solid play.
I think he will eventually be surpassed by others, but a good option right now.

Doesn't apply as he's a KHL player and not a RFA.

not the point, point is after 3 years the way you play (and have played) speaks more than the rank you were selected at |

You wouldn't trade a first and a 3rd for Lafrenière?
I would. - Scabeh
Nope ... first, we need to see what we've got with all the kids we drafted.
In my opinion, it would be premature to trade away 1st round picks for a player who hasn't really proven much up to this point.
What we could use is a stud centerman not another winger. |
