Store him on the Marlies until one of Sammy/Woll is inevitably hurt then move him up. Shouldn’t be hard for him to clear at start of season since no one seemed very interested in him.

I don't think so. Jones is a useless piece of poop - and before I let you know how I really think, that's me being nice about him.

I think Jones is there to get waived and go support the Marlies in the case of injury. He's not an NHL goalie. Before you think I'm being hyperbolic, over the course of the past 4 seasons there have been 181 goalies who have faced at least 1000 Fenwick events per season (I am using evolving-hockey here).

Martin Jones holds positions 138, 148, 151 and 157 in goals saved above expected - being well below the number you'd hope - with his best year being -8.5. To put that in perspective, in Andersen's last season here where he was riddled with injuries to his groin, knee and ego - he was -10.3 and played more than Jones does.

I'm not saying I'd rather have Hutchinson, but I wouldn't see much of a difference.

Sammy had the 6th best GAA in the league, and the 7th best Save % & was tied for the 5th most shutouts last season
