I know Kurashev is younger, but I would have signed (for less) Suter over Kurashev. I don’t think either will be different two years from now than they are today. I think Suter brings more to the table today. Suter will still be under 30 after his two year deal. I also think he would bring more at the TDL.

So Detroit (Yzerman) is the second team , and Suter’s second contract that had plenty of cap space and let Suter just walk.Anyway’s don’t think A smallish forward not very good in his defensive zone, with a high water mark of 13-15 goals is on KD’s radar.

I thought Suter was a big overpay when Yzerman signed him, and he played so well that he earned a contract worth 1/2 of what he was making with Detroit.

I believe Bedard’s endorsement is with the Canadian division of Hyundai. Doubt if we'll see any of those ads in the US. Unless there’s a no compete clause with other auto companies we still may see him in the Chicagoland Chevy Dealers ad campaign.

He also has an endorsement deals with Lululemon, Biosteel and Holt Renfrew. Earlier someone posted he may make more in endorsements than what he’ll make in his contracts with the Blackhawks. If he continues getting endorsement deals that could very well be the case.

Considering that you went for Billy Gardiner at 34 - it isn't like it is gonna matter much unless 34 was Gardiner standing next to Al Secord....

I think Sam Richardson is a top pick on defense.

Also the amount of defenders doesn't necessarily mean they are all NHL calibre but projecting as such.

Teams going one and two will not be disappointed.

Gardner and Patterson were an excellent penalty killing duo for the Hawks back in the day. I could have gone with Bruce Cassidy but he was a bust.

I'd put our over under at 78 points next year which based on last year would have us finishing 8th from the bottom.

Demidov would be a nice add but I think he’s gone by the time the Hawks draft. I agree with Wiz that D.ickinson is the top rated deferenseman and could be the Hawks target.

That would be a 19 point gain over last season, and while I wish you were right that may be a tad optimistic. I’m thinking they’ll end up in the 65-70 point range, which may put them finishing around 5th.
