Chicago did tank hard for Bedard, and the NHL wants a kid like that in a city like Chicago, unlike when we tanked for McEichel and ended drafting a Stanley Cup winning center who dates a local girl. But still lost out on McDavid because the NHL wanted him buried in Edmonton instead. - Jet Jaguar BD
The draft is suspect, this rebuilding process by Terry and his minions could be the worst sports management in professional sports.

I get that but while everyone is rightfully doom and gloom, if we come out guns blazing and some tweeners step up, they’ll look brilliant and everyone will eat crow. |

This will be the 3rd time, where a Terry rebuild is supposed to come out guns blazing.

Interesting Sabres are doing the same thing with Tuch and Skinner. While Adams brings Vibes and Backyard Barbecues. |

We took a 1st round TE that looks promising...makes sense. |

I like the last 2 trying to drag stuff out still hooked to security cables.
Gonna lead to a lot more Gun Violence when stores start adding more security if this Sh!t keeps up. |

A little more material that supports him at 3LD. He's not bad, but this 'big 3' idea is silly.

Good article, a few parts stood out to me:
"When it comes to the penalty kill, nobody is going to look good on the Sabres’ roster. They were legitimately one of the worst penalty kill teams in the last decade this past season. If they change their structure, we’ll get a better idea this upcoming season of his ability on that unit."
"One particular issue I noticed while watching him was how he has trouble defending the front of the net. Positionally he’ll be in the right place but fails to prevent the pass from reaching the opponent in front of the net. This is an issue for the entirety of the Sabres blue line. Too often the defensemen are standing next to the player that scores in front of the net."
"This doesn’t mean that the value of Samuelsson isn’t important to them. They can play their game better when he’s in the lineup. He allows the roster to fall into place properly when he’s in and his versatility is the key."
"One of the underrated things Kevyn Adams may have done this offseason is give his coach the ability to be more creative with his blue line. There is enough NHL talent now that players can be alternated based on game situations. We’ll save that for another day though."
This season is going to shine the spotlight on coaching, the pressure is on Meatball and co. What are the realistic expectations to put on the coaching staff this season? |

Yup, should've thrown him the ball once or twice. He's going to end the year with like 25 targets. |

Two questions.
1) is it still early?
2) is Dahlin still on vacation? - ImThatGuy
1. Good day is still on
2. The Sabres have been on vacation since 2011 |

Coaching needs to fill roles properly or the Sabres are just spinning tires again |

Has to be playoff expectations, I'd think.
If they miss because of goaltending, that's on KA. If they can pin it on anything else, it's Donnie.

That's why getting Petry could be a decent try if that Detroit and Buffalo thing is true. Especially if they retain again on him, if you could get him at 2.5 or 3mill for the last 2yrs wouldn't be bad. IMO
Dahlin Clifton/Petry
Power Petry/Clifton
Samuelsson Johnson isn't a bad 6 and then next year he could help mentor Ryan Johnson |

Terry stole his idea, hired Adams which extended the building phase by 5 years, which oddly enough lines up with the time frame for the county to pony up for a new arena………..
Adams wants it, but he has to wait for the green light from Terry. - washedup20
This is hilariously dumb. I am sorry.
The last Eichel year when we traded for Eric Staal, signed Taylor Hall, and etc.
I am pretty sure they were close to top salary cap wise. That proves your theory wrong |
