I think Calgary could go either way. It is true the flames bounce back and forth between good and bad seasons. If it goes bad, it could go reaaal bad though.
Regardless, I think there's few teams who shouldn't speak about asset management to the canucks ... and the flames are probably one of them. Signing the Weeger and Huby contracts was a clapback decision by a butthurt GM. Like someone who just got broken up with and went full throttle on the rebound getting married a few months later.
Imagine signing those absurd contracts only to leave months later and be gifted the keys to the holy grail of franchises. Hockey is a crazy world! - Sayros
I agree. I think we’ll see a bounce back by some of the players, coach is gone so no more excuses.
I’m ok with both Weegar and Kadri contracts, but he definitely panicked after Johnny Gonie left. No way Huberdeau should have got that money before playing a game. Meddling ownership can take part of the blame.
Going to be an interesting season for the pacific bubble teams. |

Podkokzin and Pearson are most likely to battle it out to line up with Suter. Leaving Garland to nudge back Hoglander. Is it make or break for any of them? |

Canucks are a top 12 scoring team in the NHL. Gonna be tough to crack that top 9 bottom 3 up for grabs. Hopefully a Beagle out there somewhere... |

We are winger logjam proof once Boeser has his annual early injury. |

Unless somehow they can send him in a package deal for Pesce. |

The reports are he will be ready for camp. It could be a try it out situation and go back on LTIR. The thing is it’s a contract year for him so he might be pushing to be in. |

Ive heard a few times his wrist is uncertain whether it will be the same again, i think ricky d being the most reliable person reporting on that. But it’s not his first surgery on it and has been bad for a while i guess. |
