Should be quite entertaining in here, when people realize the cap won't be going up next season, due to outside circumstances. Not sure how many times I have heard about the cap going up significantly, yet it barely moves upwards.
Should be another fun season, with all the new top-notch penalty- killers and the Norris calibre defenseman, to go along with the Selke/Hart trophy odds on favourite.
I have found my foam bricks, just in case I decide to watch any games this season.

Talk about a leap! I have heard rumblings of this second lockdown but I take it as it comes and as of now I don’t see it happening on the same scale. It’s possible though.

Hospitalizations have been trending upward since the beginning of July — the first increase seen this year, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency reported 8,035 new hospital admissions for the week ending July 22, a 12.1% increase compared to the week prior, though still one of the lowest points in the pandemic. At the same time last year, for comparison, that number was more than 44,000.

Bruins could try to restructure in free agency next season with cap going up.

This is what worries me about players like EP Canucks will be paying more with increase to cap.

Yup, Drance and Dayal are the beat writers for the Canucks, but paying the minimal amount for access to them plus host of other writers/insiders that actually have contacts and credentials across the NHL/NFL/EPL/MLB/NBA/etc etc is worth it. At least for people who like in-depth and informed pieces (whether one agrees with them or not). Other people are fine with poorly written lowly research blogs from a musician who writes for an outdated hockey rumor website who has his "finger on the pulse"... to each their own! Enjoy your $2 a month savings!
