“The thing is, someone called me from out there and said, ‘Okay, what else did you get from his mood? Is there a reason to panic here? Like, is he pulling the door on the Canucks?’ No, I don’t believe that,” said Friedman. “I think that he knows his next contract is going to be a big one, wherever it is, and I don’t think he’s worried about that. I just think he wants to make sure that he feels everything is going in the right direction. And I got the sense that he is confident in what they have. He just wants to see the results. And as long as the Canucks do, what he believes and what they’re selling him they can do. I don’t think this is going to be an issue. They know they’re going to have to pay him. I think they are prepared to pay them. They’re prepared to pay him long-term. I think the guy just wants to win and he wants to make sure that it’s going to be there.” - Brooks_Light

Yeah lots of speculation until contract is resolved. Then it will turn to term and AAV discussions. Some accepting of it others not. |

I see your "debating" skills have really taken some huge strides forward
The dude jumped on a plane, flew across the world - in the summer - and was granted access to interview 3 Swedes. I'd be surprised if you knew how to separate garbage and recycling - and you shrug him/interview off as a joke.
Regardless if anyone likes EF or not - He's neutral & consistent and usually the first to break trades, stories, and get access to GMs, coaches and players.
Who is more respected or trustworthy? Lebrun, Bob Mac?

I don't believe everything that Friedman 'thinks'. He's known for trolling the Canuck fanbase and nothing that Pouty has said or shown has indicated that he is dedicated to the Canucks long term.
Glad for Friedman that he got a lovely Scadanavian trip paid for by Sportsnet this summer. |

I personally would not let one player force me to make moves that affects the future of the club. I would take a step back and offer Montreal Petey and Podz for Suzuki Reinbacher and Mailloux. Canucks D in two years would be stacked with young RHD .
I don't think they are close enough to prove they are contenders. Not really a rebuild either when you remove Petey and put in Suzuki. - VANTEL
You mean like when the team traded away some high picks for JTM, because some entitled POS told management that he wants another winger to play with?
The team wasnt close back then and aren't any closer now.

Got any proof of that? Entitled POS?? Really?
Arguably the weakest draft class since 2012 and By high picks you mean Shakir Mukhamadullin & Hugo Alnefelt - one who's already been traded twice, the other who played in one NHL game. Yea we're really missing out. Opposed to Millers 4 years here where he's been over a PPG player.
I even bolded it for you and Driftwood to help you follow your narratives. |

When Benning did an Interview after Pouty's 1st season, he said that is what he asked for. I am not going to look it up for you.
Also, if you think the Canucks would have been in the Mukhamadullin range, without Miller in the lineup, I don't know what to say. |

Over PPG? Really.
It must be exhausting being head cheerleader for both Pouty's fan club and the Problem Child's fan club. Save some energy for the regular season. |

I don't believe he's trolling in any way. It's precisely the "fans" that label & twist it that way.
He was asked to interpret what Petey said - which neither indicated he wants out or to stay. At the end of the season he's still an RFA - his choices are limited.
I didn't expect you to interpret the bold in a logical way - I mean you still call him Pouty - that's pretty telling. And The irony of your troll statement is priceless.
I'm sure he was glad that out of all the sportsnet employees, they picked him to go to on an overseas work assignment during his summer vacation. It's as though they trust him or something?? |

Because that's not what HE said at all. Here's the quote and maybe now you can just fess up and admit this narrative is absolute BS.
From Green not Benning BTW - "We've been looking for someone we can play with [Elias] Pettersson and [Brock] Boeser."
So to you translated to - that entitled POS unworthy kid demanded management that they sacrifice picks & their future for immediate help just for HIM... |

Fawk yea I'll cheerlead for certain players - absolutely, nothing to hide. I'll also call out players that I don't like - it's not strictly one or other.
Petey is the best player this franchise has had in a decade - trying to replace him would be next to impossible, it would set us back even further than we already are. He's just about to hit his prime. If he signs 8 years - he'd be 26-34 yrs. On average there's 1-4 players of his level of talent per draft.
I don't mind Millers attitude one bit - its exactly the kinda teammates Id want to go into the fight with. I've seen/heard similar stories about McKinnon, Eichel, Kucherov, Malkin - they want to win, if that boils over to some frustration on the ice, bench or locker room - completely normal at that competitive level. |

I would like to think that every player who has the privilege to play in the NHL, "wants to win". That is a lazy excuse to justify players selfish attitudes. |
