It's actually worse for the Yankees. Here is why.

In June the Mets knew they were done. so they decide to sell. Got rid of Verlander, Scherzer, Pham, and Leone.

The Yankees literally did nothing. Brian Cashman, Aaron Boone, Randy Levine, the entire analytics department, and medical staff need to be fired.

That's fair. I don't disagree with your logic, I just don't know what exactly it is he values most.

He may not have the opportunity to be a star on the Rangers and if he wants a bigger role then, yeah, he could definitely look to sign an offer sheet if he were given one and maybe the Rangers couldn't match.

But he's on a pretty good team that has a chance to make not-insignificant runs in the playoffs. If he values winning then he'd likely want to stay put because there are only about 6 teams that could currently afford to offer him more than $4M/year AAV and most of them are total dog poop.

But yes, he would have a better chance at increasing his pay if he went elsewhere and took on a bigger role.

I am so sour about how EA has handled this franchise. I last played when I preordered NHL 20 and played hut for about a month before quitting it completely and never going back.

Rick can (frank) off, making me look up NHL 24 and seeing that the gameplay actually looks interesting.

The upgrades look pretty cool, every year they seem to try to add more realism to the gameplay and mechanics.
