Karine Hains: In Hainsight: Petry’s Second Stint in Montreal Was a Short one Less than a week after being involved in the three-way deal that sent Erik Karlsson to Pittsburgh, Kent Hughes flipped one of the pieces he got in the deal.

I think daycare are also very expensive and often it's cheaper to just having one parent that take care of them

we now have a program with the feds, costs are down 50%. Daycare went from having availability to having to book 2 years ahead of time.

Furthermore, Hughes is hoping that by doing right by his former player, other players will notice and that will make Montreal a more attractive destination for free agents or trade targets

Habs used to be a team that would do that. Do right by their players. They had a reputation of being a classy team.

Glad to see Hughes brings that back.

So…in the end, and correct me if I’m wrong.

HuGo did San Jose a favour, Pittsburg a favour, and Petry a favour.

And out of all of that they got rid of Hoffman, got a second round pick, a fringe nhl’er who’s probably heading home, and spent about 6 million in the process.

I hope I’m wrong..

Hughes accomplished the important part, as noted in the blog, created space up front. Now he has the task of solving that goalie issue, hopefully before he is forced to subject them to waivers. Which goalie is the one to be moved? Curious to hear what you all think......

Summer rain is nice. But that fall rain accompanied by a cold stiff breeze... no no

i want my shirt to freeze to my chest when i'm running. not only would it feel great, maybe it would help alleviate the wheezing and unbearable pain and cramping emanating from my torso.

got rid of Hoffman while acquiring a 2nd and 4th, picked up a 24 y/o RD who may play (or not), a local kid for Laval and a backup goalie. who cares about the 2.3M we pay for Petry?
