It's more of a French sector teacher than anything. The issue their is they force funnel everyone that you run into issues such as behavioral, unable to grasp the language and cultural differences.

You also have the new issue of parents thinking they are, by default, right about their children (this is in English and French schools). They ignore the issues and needs their kids require and hold all academic and behavioral problems at the feet of teachers and administration. Your kid didn't study... it's our fault. Your kid got caught vaping in the bathroom... it's our fault. Hell, I was harassed by multiple parents because their kids failed my class (despite my warnings, and never attending lunch and after school tutorials).

Lack of support from school administration. The last thing a principal wants are parents complaining to the board, so a lot gets swept under the rug and the teachers are told to ease off and diffuse the situation, so the kid doesn't get kicked out of class. It's essentially discouraged. Had a teacher quit last year because the principal downplayed a criminal assault that happened.

Lastly, job availability, yes there are jobs available, but if you live Montreal are you going to travel to Lachute for a 25% ERC workload? BTW if you're a new teacher, that will pay you $14,000.

I should add that you don't apply unless it's a private school. What happens is the board you work for posts a list of staffing needs. After, those who are not "full time" pick from that list (based on seniority), so if you're like me, you're near the end, and you can only pick what you went to school to teach. For me, if there are no social study jobs then I simply cannot take and English or gym workload.

that's the thing though, there is no actual "vengeance" to be had, I can't give out any warnings or bans, so there's nothing I can do, really.

I mean, I enjoy talking to like 98.5% of posters here, it's just that there's one cunty dipsh!t in particular that keeps me from having "so much fun in the habs thread" lol. it's been the same damn repetitive pattern for years, and it's definitely not about to change, it is what it is. anyway like I was saying I'll make sure to drop by once in a while, that's fo sho.

I’ve been to Chicago many times and loved it. I actually went there, ironically enough, to write my CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation. And rode the train down from Port Huron MI down.
