I’ll give it a shot at some point. My dumbass went straight to pickles and I hate pickles.

The homemade mustard is (frank)ing fantastic. Got the recipe from my grandmother. It has a nice kick to it.

I love a pickle spear on a hotdog, really chicago knows how to do it best.

But a bit of fresh dill gives anything an aromatic montreal steak spice quality, it's excellent with meat and in particular hot dogs that have mustard on them.

I went to Portillo’s in Chicago last winter. I thought it was just a tourist trap, but an old roommate from there told me it was worth it.

It was good and worth going to. I’m positive there are better places.

No (frank)ing way

Homemade mustard and relish and that’s it.

- RickJames77

Today I went with the classic trinity - ketchup, mustard and relish.

I prefer my dogs microwaved in the bun.

i'm having hotdogs for dinner now too, specifically some small smokies I found at the grocery store

i don't have any homemade mustard but I have my choice of kozlik's extra hot and horseradish hot mustard which are good consolation mustards (out of yellow mustard and I'm 3 beers in so no more driving to the store)

also have some corn relish that I'm gonna throw on those bad boys for sweetness, in addition to tangy pickle relish

I always get the Chicago style dog when I go to Fancy Franks in TO. The pickle and celery seed is awesome.

I'm going to Chicago for a few days soon, gonna go on a local food rampage.

I'd be interested in that as well. I know you like your food so I bet a family mustard recipe is real good.

i don't mind a nice big street sausage but i prefer a manageable dog with proper meat to bread to topping proportions

Foot long weiners seem like fun, but in practice I'd prefer three average ones in my mouth.

Can’t say that I’ve ever heard specifically as a your mom joke, but yeah it’s a like throwing a hotdog down a hallway reference.
