Once finished please understand I tried to reply to your $2.9 mill comment but failed to do so in time, my apologies. Anyways here’s what I wrote:

Robertson is now on IR and that’s not shown in the numbers yet, but it does mean he has to miss the first 10 games so that’s $796,667 less once the season starts. Also safe to think both Gambrell and Martin face the risk and get sent down which adds another $1,650,000. That taken off would still leave them $497,283 over the cap which makes me curious as to the tweak that will get made. They’ll be down to 12 playable forwards, 7 d men who I don’t see getting sent down, and 2 goalies.

They’re less than $500K over tho so I don’t see anything big happening unless it’s favourable in Treliving’s eyes.

Robertson is on IR, not LTIR. I don’t think he has to miss any games. He doesn’t need to clear waivers so he could go down without risk if they decide to go that way. Also, it’s not obvious that they would send Gambrell down instead of Holmberg who is also waiver exempt. But I agree overall that they don’t need to make a big move.

Sorry the 10 game thing is part of the LTIR, minimum 24 days and 10 games.

IR is just a minimum of 7 days.

He won’t be in the opening night roster or games 2 or 3 if it starts on the date of game 1 I guess.

And yeah Holmberg might be the guy as well, he’s only $25K more, I was just picking one of the options *shrugs*
