Yakupov averaged 14:52 per night during that time.
Laf has averaged 14:25 per night so far.
You're right about the PP though. That is definitely where the biggest discrepency is.
Yakupov had 26 PP points in 410 minutes, or a point for every 16~ minutes of PP time.
Laf has just 6 points in 276 minutes of PP time, or one point for every 46 minutes on the powerplay.
Yakupov played the 5th most PP minutes for the Oilers in that time. Lafreniere has played the 6th most for the Rangers since joining the team. - BINGO!
No question Kakko and Laf have each not developed as hoped. I am not yet putting him in the Yakupov class. For S and G, look at numbers for Kotkaniemi and Lafreniere, last season especially, but the prior two as well. |

That pretty much paints the stark picture about how PP1 has been the only unit deployed in a meaningful way in that time. - JRR1285
Yeah. Trocheck has nearly as many PP minutes in one year in NY as Laf has in three. |

Oh absolutely. My point on KK would be that it was pretty unreasonable for anyone to be projecting him as anything more than a 50 point guy in the first place, and he was drafted roughly 10 spots too high. |

Rasmus Dahlin and Andrei Svechnikov were consensus #1 and #2
3, where Kotkaniemi was picked, was expected to be either Brady Tkachuk, Quinn Hughes or Filip Zadina |

One is making $2.1 mil and will be an RFA after the year and one is making $4.8 mil for each of the next seven years after getting a $6 mil offer sheet. |

Yep. Born 7 months apart.
I have no issue with Kakko? He's fine. I thought he'd be better than what he's on track to be, but he's still a solid middle 6 player. |

Thanks for looking that up while I was too lazy to do so Data doesn’t help Lafs case all that much, we just have to hope he continues to grow where Yakupov regressed significantly after an already underwhelming start. Laf will probably never be all that flashy but if he finds his place he’s skilled enough to make a big impact in multiple ways. |

Hey I honestly don’t give a rats ass about Jim Ramsey but I’ve heard a rumor he was canned because he’s the guy who supposedly leaked to the press that Drury and Gallant had a blow out after game 4.
No idea if it’s true. I just thought I’d pass it along being that this is a rumor site. |

Heard that a while ago as well and honestly if it is true, it is grounds for removal. Some things need to be kept in house and come out only 20 years later in a tell all book |
