We've said it before but.
I have no idea what Detroit is trying to do. - Scabeh
I don't hate the Red Wings or anything, but man, I've no clue what Stevie Y is doing.
That's arguably the worst defense I've ever seen't.
Outside of Sieder, who's a great young D, they're all #7's, at best. |

One of my favs too. I have one in a goalie cut that I wear on the ice sometimes but I've also used it or given it to someone I was with to wear OVER a winter jacket at 2 outdoor games (Winter Classic at the Big House in Michigan) and the Centennial Classic in Toronto.
Such a nice jersey.

Every analyst I've heard talking about it seems to think it's a good deal for both sides. Not sure where any angst is coming from. - Zezel
I think it’s a huge win both sides of table. I said it earlier but I would not sign anyone to 8 years and frankly those lengths are going away. Flexibility for the team but being locked in and also benefit for player for their freedom and money. It’s a win for everyone to me. Who knows what is going to happen over next few years you know.
Also I think CC made mention of it as well - but Leafs have 34 for the best most impactful years of his career - that is all you could want as a fan eh |

I said-
He's the best all around player in the league.
What you think I said-
Matthews is the best overall player in the NHL |

Now this might be the language barrier for me.
But...
What's the difference between all around and overall?

All around = offense and defense combined. All around player.
Overall = just flatout the best. Because even with McJesus' defensive short comings, which are still glaring in his game, he's easily the best player. |

Indeed man!
Most talented maybe ever to me with the speed that he does things with is clearly McDavid.
Best 2way Centre in the NHL is Matthews. Impact on both sides of the puck in all 3 zones.

Oh ok.
For what it's worth, I kinda understand why there could have been a confusion about what you meant.
At least now we know.

Since Matthews does not kill penalties, but McJesus does, I don't see how you can legitimately say Matthews is best all around.
Now perhaps you meant best 5 vs 5? You might have an argument there.
But best all around? Sorry, I strongly disagree.

Matthews is a villain for taking shorter deals. Bergeron is a hero for doing the same. Make it make sense.

Patrice Bergeron 2 contracts after his ELC:

Wasn't Bergeron in peril of losing his career because of the head trauma at that point? |

It's almost like the teams system decides who plays the PK.
You can strongly disagree all you want; you're strongly wrong. |
