Yeah, again I don't know what your point is in reference to the context of the conversation. I'm missing something.
I think we all view it as a failure.
I think all of us realize they had a crazy amount of bad luck to with injuries and someone dying on the field - sbroads24
To bring this back full circle, Beanes draft record is actually piss poor.
2019-2022. Not 1 all star level difference maker. NOT 1. For as good as he’s been. It’s a problem. |

Buffalo sports fans need to understand this. You cannot force a player to accept a trade here, or sign here as a free agent, nor can you force a GM to accept a trade offer. - RichardRoma
Well said. This a concept this group of Want a be gm ‘s can’t understand. |

Thanks for restoring hope, I will admit, I figured by the 2025 season at the latest, we would be seeing a much weaker roster. - RhinoFan
Might see that just from age, Hyde Poyer Miller Morse aren't getting any younger. |

I wonder if Diggs can be added to that group of aging players in a couple more years too. Oh well, at least there's some meat on the bone. When I saw the cap projections for 2025, I thought we were just going all in now. |

Gary would let Buffalo move before he would admit any Southern team is a failure. Hamilton is twice the size of Buffalo, and the traffic from London, Kent, etc… on top of the Toronto market wanting cheaper hockey is enough to justify the move.
I still say Ottawa ends up in Quebec, Arizona in Houston and after that, Buffalo either needs a new arena and stays or Hamilton is a real option.
Let’s face it, the city of Buffalo isn’t going to have a large influx of new residents any time soon and I wouldn’t bet on more than 15-25k in the suburbs even by the end of the decade.
The Golden Horseshoe is only going to grow, however and Buffalo ain’t a part of that no matter how much people want to believe it is.
We can support the Bills long-term. I’m not sure about the Sabres. - Jet Jaguar BD

Are window isn't as Wide as it was that's for sure. Beane does need to start hitting more on Higher Round picks, very good with later picks and UDFA. But he needs to be better in the 1st and 2nd rnd if we want to keep that Window open longer. |

Stefon Diggs is a difference maker.
He was one of their 1st rounders
Russeau is close to being a difference maker - he was the 30th pick
Davis was a 4th rounder and is a borderline WR2
They brought in a superstar DE
There’s been a lot of good done by Beane |

Josh Allen.
Now name me the rest of these really good picks.
Also what is the criteria to this list.
#2 overall 3rd rd?
two RBs who don’t play here anymore,
Spencer brown who’s a starter but everyone hates.
Terell Bernard
Dawson Knox is okay to good. |

Take 2018, with Allen, out of the equation and we bottom out though.
Class CAVOE by year:
2018: 54.1
2019: 14.3
2020: 5.1
2021: 1.6
So it is a valid opinion to say he's gotten steadily worse at drafting and is now right around average at best. |

Is he the only good QB that's been drafted?
Why is Beane ahead of the teams who's drafted Lamar, Hurts, Herbert, Mahomes, etc? |

Kind of like John Elway minus 2 SB appearances and a ring.

Yes, taking out the amazing thing he did he's been average at drafting.
What are we talking about here?
They draft at the end of every round every year because he built a perennial contender. |

Drafting annd only taking out 1 player. We are not talking one class.
Brandon Beane has done a lot of good/great things.
Drafting outside of Josh Allen, is not one of them.
Drafting Josh Allen is the most important, clearly.
He’s now making a poop ton of money and they haven’t been able to supplement the roster with cheap contracts because they haven’t drafted well outside of that.
Hopefully this draft class changes that. |

If you can take out one pick over several years and the results are average otherwise, the criticism is valid. No? |

Is it valid on the players he has picked or the bad coaching that has ended some seasons. |

Comparing a sport where all 7 of your draft picks can play, and in some cases even start on your roster (including undrafted free agents) the second their name is called is quite a bit different then the NHL don’t you think ?
However, as some have pointed out, there have been some pretty big whiffs in the early rounds the past few years with premium picks.
Kair Elam may be the next one to add to the junk pile.

Beane needs to improve his early rnd drafting, but he finds some decent ones later on.
Hamlin
Johnson
Benford
Jackson maybe not superstars, but some glue that helps
