I recently finished a project with a Canadian restaurant chain - I learned all the made up holidays you Ontarians get like Family Day and Civic Holiday.
Can't wait for GMKA to get back from holidays. He's not rushing anymore now that he's got Okposo locked up for another year. Could he be working on an extension for Ben Bishop?

I do believe part of the plan was/is to time the window opening to the demise of perennial playoff teams, a couple that you have noted above but should include the Isles and Caps as well.
They will need to fend off improving teams CBJ, Wings, Sens...others in the East.

I think this is the first summer in 4 years that Tampa’s roster has to rest, I don’t think their core has aged out yet.
Boston is a strong organization and still has a good roster, they might drop down to middle of the pack but still in the playoff hunt.
Agreed on Washington and NYI, those are the only windows that the closed the Sabres timed.
LA, NJ, Florida rebuilt in 3 years, it’s not that wise to try to wait out other organizations who are working every year to compete to stop competing
