Benoit seems like he has a legit chance at LHD 3rd pairing. Has played with Klingberg before.

Trading Lafferty only gives them 650K which is not enough to get a league min player in there.

Trading Jarnkrok for a pick so late seems like a bad asset management move when they knew this was coming.

Really does seem like there is some sort of D trade coming that will shape this cap better for them.

Or they know of a player that needs minor surgery and won't be available for opening night...like Liljregren last year.

They could also do what they did with Simmonds for Gio and put him through waivers but still have him with the team and call him up whenever they want.

I just took a peek at the remaining schedule - if they can't put a good win streak together, they don't deserve to make the playoffs.

There's plenty of Ws lying around in September - just need to pick them up.
