Well thats a whole scam in itself. Granted there are amazing breakthroughs for certain illnesses and surgeries, etc. but the pills they have for everything..

Do you have dry skin? Take exgentra! Your skin may or may not clear up after 2 years.
Side effects, death, brain tumor, anal bleeding, rickets, cleft pallet, uncontrollable shaking, that may be permanent......

Advertising drugs on TV should be illegal. Just like how they can't advertise tobacco products anymore.

I love seeing an advertisement for a drug that treats an obscure illness. Does spending the money on advertising drugs for a fringe condition make any sense? Are they trying to make people think they have an illness due to symptoms that may overlap with what the viewer is experiencing? I love all of the side effects too, like you mention. Some are often worse than the condition being treated.

We have a growing society of people with 0 skills. If sh!t hits the fan, these people need to be at the front of the line.

Sometimes I am worried that I am handicapping my daughter by not allowing her to have a device/phone. She is not getting the hands on device/screen times of some of her peers. But she is also not being constantly stimulated by the crap on social media platforms and video sites etc. We do let her watch occasional YouTube videos etc. but it usually involves developing a skill she is working on or something else that interests her.

As this continues I get less and less concerned since she is learning other skills that may be harder to learn later in life as they become more rare.

I want her to be self sufficient and not need to rely on others who often don't have your best interest in mind etc. She is learning how to do things that I am betting many of the parents of her classmates don't even know how to do. She can fill in the skills regarding technology later on.

Youre half right.

The scam in modern medicine/big pharma is that they are the business of keeping you alive, not curing you. Its about curing the symptoms, not the problem.

You're not wrong. It's (frank)ed up all around.

Modern medicine as a whole is an incredible thing. It helped me regain my sight among other things. The problem is, for a multitude of reasons, it is not accessible to many that need it. I will just leave it at that.

You also have to be worried about content that these new programs are showing/teching young children these days, as my family members with youngsters are.

I remember visiting the US and watching local news in Pittsburgh the one day and there was an entire goddamn 5 minute story in the middle of a 30 minute broadcast that was presented like legitimate news but was actually just an ad for Macy's and their credit card.

We have too large of a lawn for that. Would take like 5 hours.

It takes me about an hour and a half with a riding mower. Push is like two and a half.
