Agree with you guys thinking Lavy brings some fire and accountability. Maybe this pushes Kreider to play tougher than he has lately, inspiring the kids. MDW is right that there is no Cally or Dubi type forward on this team, they had such intensity. Cally still does on the broadcast.
- Fenrir

The Cally/Dubi/Stepan era of the Rangers had less overall team talent skill wise than the current era, but was rife with hard-working, lay it all out on the table grinding style personalities that took them very far. Being able to come back from down 3-1 in playoff series twice in consecutive years (14 & 15) is an example of this.
Now if we can find a balance between these eras, it would be amazing.

I like him as a broadcaster. Hes really good

Messier, for being such a vocal leader, seems really awkward on camera.

Still think the best is Biron. That dude is great.

Stepan's a good dude.

Not half the player he once was, but a good dude.

so awkward.
Listening to him attempting to provide a logical analysis of a play/game is as fun as grinding your teeth against concrete.

He mentions several times on his twitter feed that he’d totally go back to MSG and doesn’t know why they didn’t bring him back but in the same breath says they chose to go a different direction with “anson carter”, in quotes like he doesn’t think it’s his real name

herb Brooks hated that Duguay was so big into the early 80's NYC nightlife, one of the reasons Rangers traded him in 1983

iI feel like modern day Ron Duguay would mouth off about early 80's Ron Duguay and tell him to focus on hockey if he could

There’s no doubt. the hypocrisy is a feature not a bug. We’re all entitled to evolve and change but I sense there’s not much introspection on his end
