You can only change if the right moves are out there to change. Everyone wants to improve course. However it just isn't that easy. We are on the same page for the most part.

No question it is very difficult. I think the good thing is there could be some pieces in Bridge that may be able help soon if needed in Maggio and Dufour. Maybe Wally and Holmstrom show something this year?

Maggio is an interesting piece and may find a job on the Isles this year imho. Wally and Holmstrom have to prove they belong. Another big variable is Dobson taking a step this year as well.

I don't think we see Maggio or Dufour in an Isles jersey at any point this year unless one of two things happens. A) they're ravaged with injuries to the forward group or B) they're mathematically eliminated from playoff contention and management wants to get a look at some of the young Bridgeport forwards.

Guys like Koivula and Holmstrom are getting to the end of their shot to make the big club on a mostly permanent basis (I think Koivula is about there and Holmstrom has some time but is getting passed by other prospects in the org) and Durandeau looked good, albeit in a very small sample size. Iskhakov will be knocking on the door soon too if he has another strong showing this season. His first pro year in NA he already posted a better statistical season than Holmstrom ever has in the AHL.

I think Wahlstrom is going to be the most interesting player to watch on the team this season. He doesn't need to be a superstar but they need him to start using that shot to put pucks in the net with some consistency. A 25g year would be huge from him and it'd be nice to see at least 20, if he stays healthy.

Hearing good things about that Isaiah George, which is another somewhat blue chip prospect (for Lou to dangle in trade lol).

Yeah seems like he's looked very good at rookie camp. He's been buried on what's historically been a very "veteran" London team, so I would anticipate him having a big year this upcoming season.

I think they have something in him, just going to be awhile before he gets his chance.

I agree about Maggio and Dufour chief. I think the Islanders could use Iskhakov's speed and SO skills alone. Wally being productive would be huge. Maybe he can be a good match with JGP. If he does well and Palms get injured or struggles, Wally can move up if playing well.

The past 6 offseasons have been quiet. Yet this senile idiot continues to fool ownership into believing he has things going in the right direction. He’s all but killed this franchise for the next decade

Isaiah George has done nothing to make anyone think he’s more than just an AHL bottom six defender.

I read that his skating stood out at rookie camp? For whatever that’s worth. I’ll take a 19 year old with athletic upside anyday

This was just one scouting report on him in his draft year:

At his best, the Knights defenceman is an effortless puck-carrier, darting past forecheckers with agility and power to create exits and entries, often on the same rush. His nearly form- perfect mechanical forward stride is a real asset in this regard. Those same skills translate to neutral zone defensive sequences, where George gaps up early, takes away the middle of the ice with a strong defensive stick, and closes with urgency and force at the right moment to end possession or force an uncontrolled play. - EliteProspects 2022 NHL Draft Guide

He's raw and has some work to do for sure, but the foundation is there. Question is if the points come with an increased workload in London this season or if he's going to be looked at as more of a smooth-skating defensive specialist. But there are a bunch of videos of him breaking up 2-on-1's at rookie camp this week so that's a good start.
