There’s no denying that adding Revo, Domi and PBB will make the Leafs a tougher team to play against.

Me and my better half got all the shots and neither of us got Covid. We were around a lot of people who had it so I’m guessing the vaccine was the reason why we didn’t get sick.

The claim was never that the vax was going to stop everyone from getting covid (it would help for sure), it was more the lessen the impacts on the body if you got covid.

I think I'm just going to be relieved to not see Jarnkrok in the top-6. I like him just fine, but I prefer him in a role on line 3.

Bearing in mind that our exposure to Matthew Knies is a whopping 10 games in, he did look good and motivated in those games. His ability to drive the net was refreshing and for someone who has been knocked for his skating, I thought his skating was just fine, if not better than expected. He may not have that same passing vision you see from Marner or Matthews, but that develops in the environment - for instance Zach Hyman could have played out his entire NHL career and been a really good energy guy who mucks, but the opportunities afforded him made him better - and not to take anything away from Hyman because he worked and got better and deserved his success, but there are plenty of coaches who keep guys "in their lane".

I'm a little concerned that Domi + Marner is too small for one line. It may have worked in junior, but that's a different game. Domi may very well end up on the 3rd line with Kampf & Jarnkork.

Initially, though, I think that if we have Bertuzzi - Matthews - Nylander & Knies - Tavares - Marner, you have size, defense, checking, passing and scoring on each line to some degree.

Domi-Kampf-Jarnkrok

That would be a solid 3rd line for sure.

Lmao.

Well, I’m (frank)in convinced!

Lol
So funny that someone who is too ignorant to understand how vaccines work would conveniently have "80% of his vax friends get covid while apparently none of his vax friends got it"
Wreaks of bs.

This may sound a little weird, but I have a really strong desire to go over to Pfizer HQ today and sweep up their parking lot, and maybe paint their fence.

Anyone else feel like joining me?

Death rates are 80% lower in communities with higher vaccination rates. It’s not that complicated.

From the Ontario Science Table - numbers collected and published by the Ontario Government, led by the Ontario PC Party, not Justin Trudeau and Bill Gates:

On a different but still non-hockey-related subject, I made the mistake of driving downtown yesterday for family movie night.

OMG, why would anyone want to drive downtown? The traffic due to construction (and a stalled streetcar on Adelaide) was an absolute franking nightmare.

Take the subway. Ride your bike. Jog home.

Do not franking take your car into the downtown core.

It’s awful man - granted I wasn’t downtown but finally made the move out of the city. Couldn’t do it anymore. Not just byte traffic but just the density of humanity.
So crowded. Fortunate enough to snag tickets to home opener and already drawing up plans for commute parking and all that stuff.

Rookie move ....how do you have that 3rd + drink if you drive!

I live right DT and I agree ....uber down. It's cheaper than parking and lets you get giggly.

Especially bad with the Ex on right now.

It's always been bad. I lived downtown from 1992 - 2003 and we didn't own a car - there was no point. When we wanted to go somewhere out of town, we'd rent one.

We grabbed some tickets for the Habs/Leafs preseason game and have already scoped our plans for taking the train in for the game.

I don’t live in Toronto but from what I read in the papers it seems like public transit might not be the safest way to travel. The world seems to have lost its mind in recent years.

Public transit is still very, very safe.

Still safer than taking the 401.

Do I really need to remind you that Thursday night comes right after Wednesday night, a.k.a. Men's League Night at my golf club?

A night off was a brilliant move to transition into the long weekend.
