I can’t think of many examples where a star player resigns with the same team after playing out the final year in his contract. There’s too many variables in play. That’s why I don’t think he’ll be a Leafs opening day. The player and GM will develop too much dislike towards each other. Relationships are built on trust and respect.

It’s funny. I was a big fan of their bluesy stuff and it kind of bugged me that they went all California. But Buckingham could really play and she could sing and they were really good.
