The Canadiens released their draft documentary this week and it received mixed reviews from fans…

As stated yesterday, there was just an overall lack of context. The way the discussions were edited (for the most part) did not provide any real enlightenment beyond what we had already heard or guessed.

Would have been nice if there was a post draft portion that broke down each pick and talked about why they took him, strengths and areas they need to develop, etc... let the fans get to know these kids a little better.

Most of their picks this year were late ones, so meh

Im wayyyyyyyyyy more interested about how Newhook will look for the habs this season

most 4th round picks will never reach the NHL

so...

well, they have better odds to reach the NHL than 4th round picks

like way better odds

but yeah, a lot of them wont make it either.

Theres a reason why they traded their late first round pick to get Newhook

The Timmins special where first rounders make the NHL as fourth liners or 3rd pair D.

I mean most 1st rounders will get a shot into the NHL at some level of success, but rarely any form of longevity or impact... 1-2-3 years for most.

The way to win the draft, IMO, is in rounds 2-7.

Other fun fact, my girlfriend's best friend while she was studying in Poland was a Kazakh. Also, somehow there's a Kazakh consulate very close by, which is even stranger (Slovenian one is next to my work).

I mean yeah, but maybe not in the, like, 11th most populous city in the country (I'll grant you that the metropolitan area is basically the biggest in the country, but the city itself, not so big), with an industrial background instead of cultural and therefore not a prime destination for foreigners.

That's like if, I dunno, the Dominican Republic had a consulate in.... I dunno, Drummondville? Saint-Jérôme?
